The power of the spoken word
The spoken word rightly chosen and spoke can help us to control and manage our whole body and life. The spoken word helps us to discipline our minds and entire body. Job gives instruction to his eyes on what he wants it to do and not to do.

The spoken word determines our direction;

When a man does not give vice to his inner yearnings, his situation will not change. Our words a re like GPS- it goes in the direction we input in it and where is information is not given, it goes nowhere or anywhere.

The spoke word is fire

It can burn and cure. There is healing in the tongue. There is also a curse. Some tongues are specially anointed to bless and to heal.

The power of the tongue is that which speaks the received word- either through the bible or revelation.

The tongue loses its power word when it is twisted by allowing praises and curses through it.

The power of the spoken word is strengthened or weakened by the purpose that powers the word. “When you ask you do not receive because you ask with wrong motives.”

The power of God cannot work in our tongue when it is also an instrument of in the hand of the devil- through negative talk, lies, curses, obscene talk and unguided chatter, false promises, boastfulness, murmurings, swearing.

To strengthen the power of the spoken tongue, we must not speak anyhow, anytime and anywhere. In other words, there are times we must obey the still voice of quietude and silence.

The mouth that prays must not swear, recite, meaningless words or engage in dirty conversation because our tongues are shrines with which we offer worship to God- the altar of God should not at the same time host sacrifices meant for Satan.

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Who is a righteous man?

A righteous man is a man with a guided heart and mouth. A man who in whom the truth dwells, who is full of God’s words and empty of Satan’s lies.

“We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.” the book of James chapter 3 verse 2.
