My Dad
My dad Sydney Clue (alias little D) a group member of Bob Marley foundation from the beginning. Sydney Clue was born on January 24 in Gordon Town district Kingston.He was a member of Bob Marley group from in the 70s, he was the percussionist player and the president of Twelve Tribe group in half way tree Kingston.Sydney won Selassie I,Bob Marley and Peter Phillips hearts to become rastafarian and met with Selassie I, which he invited them to Ethiopia Africa. Sydney clue, Bob Marley and another member went to Africa. They arrived there and traveled for days and nights by foot and slept in tree because they were afraid that animals would eat them.When they finally reached Alibaba they were met by soldiers. Base on there looks,walk and language they were in danger so they were locked up in jail in Africa.when my grandfather Albert clue, Sydney's dad heard this he immediately send money to bail all three of them so they could return home to Jamaica. Sydney clue and Bob Marley continued with there music and tour around the country. Years later little D left the group but continues to play for other artists like Jimmy Cliff "Bingo Man a Come", tracks and other songs, Little Roy, "Christopher Columbus a come", Israel vibration and Don Hutches and stars baptism and maybe more.
In 2009 he was rushed to Kingston public hospital due to food poison and 2 weeks later, his right leg was amputated because of neglect. He suffered for years, struggling on one leg to take care of his children Sidonna, Dangles clue and the mother of his children Bubbles by making hammocks and crafts. On February 8, 2022 he was rushed to Kingston public hospital after having a seizure, which turned out to be a stroke. Around 10am Friday, the 11th of February, he passed away leaving us in pain. His six children me, Kelli-Ann clue, Tamar clue, Daniel clue, Abigail clue, Sidonna Clue and Dangles Clue as well as other children we don't know about. I didn't grow up with him but I heard from my grand uncle Roderick Clue that he was a legend and a great musician, he will be laid to rest in April 3rd 2022 at Stony hill cemetery in Kingston hoping to meet the rest of my families, brothers and sisters. let jah lead the way blessing goes out to us the families and friends.
