Am sorry Dad 2
yeah, twas my twelveth year old birthday that I had made the worst mistake of my life.
I went for summer camp for a week and made lotta friends of my age. Most of 'em had Android phones with fingerprint sensor and facelock and I had itel 2160 compared to theirs it's scrap!
I felt so inferior and then I realized my birthday was at the corner I knew what I wanted apparently it led to my destruction!

A week later,
I got back home and thankfully Dad was back from work.
"Dad remember you promised you'd give me anything I waited on my 12th year old birthday right?"
I still remembered those words that opened the door of my destruction.😪
"yes of course, what's that?"
"I need an Android!"
I yelled.
"all kids my age have one why can't I?"
"ooh okay hunnie, are you sure about that?"
"yes!"
I replied boldly

😂😂😂 how funny,
what could a 12 year old wanna do with an Android phone?
oh is it browsing?
I could obviously ask my parents to get me a laptop.
or is it educational Apps I suppose?
I could possibly get a tablet with all educational Apps installed in them.
but then why an Android phone?that is,why do I need my personal phone?
here's the answer: "peer pressure- Social Media influence".
Back at the camp,
there were lotta kids with phones, they took pictures and videos of themselves and posted 'em online, some of 'em were busy chatting up friends (the ones they knew and the ones they had no idea existed).
Some could even video call and send voice messages. What a spectacular way of connecting with friends.
I wanted to also try out those things.
*sigh*
first of all,
I'm really extrovertic so making friends ain't my problem, the problem was how.
So I figured social media might help and that was my major priority to own an Android.

Sooner than later,
my Dad gifted me my new phone (itel A32F)
at my age then twas huge and considering the fact that I've not used a smartphone before I was happy with what I got but it came with a warning!
"Joy, has you've gotten this phone it doesn't mean you have to go on social media, if I in any way find out you did, you wouldn't like what I'd do to you. I got it only because I promised and the fact that it has internet access in it for browsing purposes and nothing else okay?"
"yes Dad"
I promised but unfortunately broke it in less than 2 months 😣.

September 21th I logged in officially into Facebook!
I know right...I broke my promise and disobeyed.

to be continued....
