The soft glow of the jewelry store’s lights shimmered over the perfectly cut diamonds, casting tiny rainbows across the glass. For a moment, the world outside disappeared—no honking cars, no chatter of pedestrians, only the steady hum of memory surfacing like a wave.

Sanya’s breath hitched as she took in every detail of the necklace—the delicate platinum chain, the way the diamonds nestled together in an intricate pattern resembling entwined vines. It wasn’t just any necklace. It was **her** mother’s necklace.
