This morning I got the saddening news of the passing away of our legendary & finest actor of# Hindi cinema. To me, he was Indian cinema's first superstar as he would act with his eyes and hand expressions. The aura of legendary Dilip Kumar was such that whenever there would be talk about Hindi films, his name would arise as to the one who set the highest benchmark set by any actor to date. In my blog few lines of tribute & respect to our greatest actor Shri Dilip Kumar Sahib.
Shri Dilip Sahib set fresh norms of performance thru his various acts of acting excellence, faultless, and beyond any kind of improvement. His greatest quality was his connection with those that stood before him in the frame to act. His strength of delivery and his strength of connecting with any character he portrayed has been unique and unsurpassable
Shri Dilip Kumar, whose real name was Muhammad Yusuf Khan.With the film Jwar Bhatta Kumar's first film debut. In 1947, he had a box office success with the film Jugnu. He became known as the “king of tragedy” finest Bollywood actor as his popularity grew and he played a series of tragic roles in films such as Deedar and Devdas. He eventually went for a lighter image, appearing in films like Aan, Azaad, Insaniyat, and Kohinoor as a grizzled hero. Dilip Kumar sahib made a comeback with Manoj Kumar’s film Kranti after a long absence in the industry. Following that, he appeared in Subhash Ghai’s Vidhaata, Karma, and Saudagar. Philip Kumar’s last film, Qila, was a family drama as per my knowledge.
During his career, he had become the first man to be awarded the Best Film fare Actor Award. He was nominated for eight Film fare awards in total. The following year, he received India’s highest award for cinematic excellence, the Dadasaheb Phalke award.
Shri Dilip Kumar Sahib was arguably one of Bellwood’s most popular stars of all time. He is, without a doubt, one of India’s biggest legendary acts. He has captured millions of hearts over throughout his five-decade career and will forever be known as ‘Dilip Sahab the great. Legends don’t die they leave behind rich legacies.
