The girl of my dreams||Chapter 6

As the car approaches me, I glance to the right. I glance to the left. As I pick up the ball, I get a glimpse of a beautiful girl. I try adjusting my glasses to see her better, but thats when it all happened. Thats when the car collided into me sending me flying into the sky.

I remember seeing the look of panic on the faces of my parents as I fell to the ground.

The driver didn’t even stop to check if I was okay, he just drove off like nothing happened. Time instantly slowed down.

I could hear my mother screaming in the background.

“Call the ambulance! He’s losing blood fast…”

The impact of my head hitting the ground was devastating. Blood was pouring from my head.
I got rushed to the nearest hospital immediately. The worse part of it all was that I never blacked out, I was still fully conscious.

The pain was unbearable. As the doctors rushed me into some room, I kept thinking about that girl.

"Who was that beautiful girl?”

My parents were told, I’d lose my memories. They were told I would not remember them, more over remember myself. But there I was, lying in hospital trying to figure out who this girl was. Turns out the doctors weren’t wrong at all. When my parents checked on me, I could not recognise either one.

“How was this even possible?”

I couldn’t remember my parents or who I was, but I could remember seeing a girl. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a proper look at her so trying to visualize her at this very moment was pretty damn hard.

As time went on, my parents decided to send me in for therapy. The first couple of weeks were pointless. No progress was made whatsoever.

“Can you remember what happened to you?”
“Do you remember any of your friends?”
“What’s the last thing you remember?”
I
didn’t know how to respond so I remained quiet. Weeks went by and for the last couple of days I’ve been having strange dreams and they all start off and end the same.

I hear a random voice, asking if I’m okay. I could never see the face of this mysterious person. The way in which this person spoke clearly indicated it was a girl. I wish I could see her. As she walked behind me I feel her every breath hit the back of my neck. I feel her presence captivate me. As she touches me from behind, it sends goose bumps up my spine. As I turn to look at her, she vanishes into thin air, then reappears behind me. Her scent clings to my skin as she hugs me from behind. If only it was real. I know it’s just a dream, but if I must endure this every single time, I’d rather not wake up. All of the dreams end the same way. Just as she’s about to reveal her face I wake up.
As soon as I awake to my harsh alarm, I immediately try to fall back to asleep. But it never works...
