Recollections and History :
..The yellow and red plaster chipped walls and neo classic architecture looked beautiful, and sunny verandahs were a bliss in winter, but our few gloomy teachers made us feel the chill in our spine
we all classmates used to talk about how it would be to stay in such a place at night ? Many shivered at the thought of it and soon, rumours spread that our school's Principal was kidnapped by a ghost or maybe exorcised...
Even we thought few of our teachers were, themselves no less then ghosts.. .whole staff after inventing certain 'silly code of procedure , example if you have big nails you have to cut your nails after the assembly itself not in class but yes in the very place you prayed. 'and inventing some primordial form of study method,it would also have been no surprise if they might have been looking forward for ... General Dyer to come out of grave and give us few lectures .. . And make...our precious Convent just like some Jail. . . Indeed if we recount there were only Horrible general like teachers who must have connections with Hitler and Mussolini and were ruling over innocent 🙄 kids ..., many would pass by without noticing Or replying when students wished them a very good morning, then there were terrible drills for sports day preparation ..which was actually meant to drain.. kids energy and studies...in the extremely hot summer sun and then observe them being giddy in the heat scorched ground with great pleasure, sounds like the aftermath of some riots where the whole village participated and now are admonished ....although the kids were also as naughty as some asura .... putting chalk on teachers hairs, and then sticking chewing gum and so on .... After i completed my high school I took a transfer and got an admission in the new school,By that time I had learnt to teach myself but here it was indeed fascinating with inspirational teachers ,caring , encouraging and supportive staff the charms of CBSE fascinated me and I became a liberated person.... But for my roots and hilarious but dreaded memories I still owe to convent, and after my high school I owe a great deal to the new and beautiful temple of education for transforming me into a hardworking curious person who enjoys the journey called as 'learning '. Indeed thankful for the transfer as it initiated a new experience to face the world !
