The village well as eerie even by the day. Stories of horror revolved around it. But nothing deterred me and my friends from exploring it on that moonless, winter night.
When the stars hid and when the streets had nobody, we left with our bags and torches.
The well was dark and deep, Mom always believed it was a bottomless pit.
It is believed that creatures that perched on the well, left feathers and bones by morning. Nobody dared to live next to the well because the building next to it was inhabited.
The story Mom told me about the well, sent shivers down my spine coupled with the mystery behind the former occupants of that house.
The Willows lived in Grey Brick(as is the name given to the house) with their daughter Winny and Wilson their dog. Things went well for the first two months when they moved in but as time went by, they would complain of how poor the pipes were. The question, “Why the pipes?”...
