God holds the reins of our life .
Real life incident
we were getting ready for the Church Festival a con celebrated service so all of us in our best attire and as usual I had dressed up in best sari and had put on a long chain and a neck wear with red stone matching bangles in gold.
we had arrived on time but the place was over flowing with people so there were no seats vacant .we entered an adjacent hall and though the view was not very great we had to make ado with it as there were empty chairs and thanking God we sat down.
Now in this hall too people thronged and it got filled up in no time. The service was to begin at 6 o'clock.
The time was already half past six but the Bishop hadn't yet arrived. A certain restlessness prevailed among the people as it was a hot sultry Summer day so it was stuffy too and strangely the Sea breeze was nt as usual so the scene was not genial but kind of tense as our parish priest too was anxious wondering if anything had gone amiss due to the heavy traffic .
It was then that I noticed as I casually pushed my hair back and felt as though I was missing something and Lo! to my utter dismay found my necklace missing. I was sort of dazed and froze in fear .I whispered to my cousin but none knew not what to do as the place was packed and around where I sat I checked but nothing was to be seen.
If it had fallen in the hall then remote chance of getting it back as someone would have picked and pocketed it or worse still out in the compound if it had dropped there ,then it would be trampled submerged in the Sea sand that covers the whole church com pound. So either way it's no use I thought to myself.
I began to pray to God saying loudly,' Lord help me find it ".It was my mom s present to me while I was in college and although it was costly more than that it was very dear to me as precious as my childhood times with my parents and siblings .
My husband and I rushed to the car where we parked it searching in and around the car but nothing was found .
we decided to go back home to see if by mistake it had dropped there .
with tensions rising high mg husband doubled the steps and reached the house went in and looked about but couldn't find any thing.
As an after thought my husband came out checking on the steps as we were onnthe first floor and to our great astonishment the neck wear was lying at the corner of the steps oh my Gosh is all I could exclaim in wonder and thanksgiving and tears of joy falling from my eyes as we clasped our hands saying," Thank you God", it was a miracle because it's a Flat with six houses and umpteen number of people would be climbing up and down the stairs and it could have gone in to anyone s hands: as grocery man, water man, maids, and others would be parading up and down and the jewel could have been lost for ever .
We rushed back to the Church and the time was 7 oclock and the Bishop had just then come in as there was an accident on the road and hence after they had cleared the traffic they had come late by an hour or so.May be God had planned it all for our good too as we were able to attend the service without missing it.
God is our Creator and I learnt that he holds the reins of my life and I was so glad that I had nt lost my mom precious gift to me.
