Ch.8 : Hired!

Rowena's eyes widened and her heart was literally in her mouth. How could he disclose this secret to her brother! What if he has told her name!? What if her father got to knew about Gulian hiding her!

Her mind was filled with thoughts like this and the question that was the important was, what if she and Gulian have to break their marriage?....

Suddenly she stopped and hurriedly stated to Hazel.

Rowena : Hazel! I am in a problem! Is there anything that could make me unrecognisable by a particular person? Can you do a magic for me?

Hazel : Of course! I would love to use my magic.

She looked here and there to see if anyone is around them or not. They were lucky that the maid left because of a work. She immediately turned into a pea- size fairy and fluttered her wing so that her pixie dust would fall on here.

Hazel : This will do for a long time but what's the matter?

Rowena : I will tell you later!

She hurried inside, got dressed and hurried to the royal court. She sat on her throne beside Gulian and mouthed 'sorry', he accepted that. Everyone in the royal court recognised their queen except her own brother Hunter.

Gulian : Lyall, this is my wife and the queen of this kingdom.

He seemed to be shocked by this information.

Hunter (Lyall) : Oh, I thought you aren't married...

Gulian : Yeah..only the castle members know about this, if you dare to tell anyone about this thing and I bet you would be beheaded.

Hunter (Lyall) : I am the man of my words, your majesty. I would never tell anyone about this.

Rowena : Well, I think we should get going with our decision to hire you. I think you make a good worker. I have no issues in hiring you at the castle.

Gulian : If my wife doesn't has an issue then I agree on keeping you. You may start working from today, one of our maids will show you the way.

After Hunter went away, Rowena held Gulian's hand and dragged him inside their room.

Gulian : Rowena! What happened?

Rowena : Nothing, I just wanted to say something.

Gulian : Are you unhappy that I didn't refuse your brother for the work.

Rowena : Of course! what if he recognised me!? What if my father knew about me? What if he made me leave you...

Gulian : It won't happen but if it did...then I would burn the whole world alive to get you back, I won't mind killing your father if he troubles you.

He smirked heavily.

Rowena : You are crazy Gulian!

Gulian : Yeah honey, only for you.

He stuffed his face in her neck and inhaled her scent.

Rowena : Seems like you missed me.

Gulian : Yeah, alot.

Rowena : I am lucky that Hunter didn't recognise me, all thanks to Hazel. She is amazing.

Gulian : I know, after all she is my friend.

He said proudly.

Rowena : Can't believe my brother disguised himself as a person named 'Lyall' and became a worker only to find me.

Gulian : He cares for you. On the other hand, your mother and father doesn't even care to move. He did a great job by running away.

Rowena : Oh yeah...Hey, I have present for you.

Gulian : A present? What is it?

She took the pendant and handed him his present.

Gulian : Oh, a cute little pendant.

Rowena : More than a pendant, jerk it first.

He did as she said and the pendant turned into a real big sword.

Gulian : Oh my goodness! How did you got this?

Rowena : Got from an antique shop, from a person named Caspian.

Gulian : Uncle Caspian! Oh! it's been years since I got a visit.

Rowena : You know him?

Gulian : Of course! I went to his shop almost everyday when I was just 8!

Rowena : You know that kind of sword it is?

Gulian : Let me check.

He raised the sword in the air as his expression changed.

Gulian : The sword of mercy and peace...I got chosen by this sword! The prophecy chose me Rowena!

Rowena : You knew about the prophecy?

Gulian : Yeah I do! The girl with the moon birthmark and the boy with the sword...

Rowena : Will rule the kingdom of Solvier and will save all the fairies hidden in the dark...

Gulian : Rowena...I..

Rowena : No need of explanation...I am fine, just need some time.

And she ran away from that place.

Gulian : Rowena!

He ran behind her but wasn't able to catch her on time, resulting in a door slammed right across his face.

Gulian : Rowena!

He knocked on the door and on the other hand, she was checking on her collarbone to see the birthmark was visible! she panicked,if Gulian saw this then he would surely be angry and hurt.

Gulian : Please! Even if you are not the prophecy girl, I would never ever leave you! Please Rowena...Open the door.

His voice was hoarse stating that he was crying. Rowena slowly opened the door and he engulfed her in a hug, sobbing on her shoulder.

Rowena : Don't cry Gulian... please.

He looked at her and was shocked to see the same moon birthmark the prophecy referred to.

Meanwhile at King Joshua's side.

King Joshua : The prince has escaped! Find him! Don't you all dare to come back without our future king! Go! Find Hunter!

The guards rode their horses as the king finished his sentence.

Queen Eliana : Joshua! I would never forgive you if I don't get my son back! You will not be spared! I want him back!
