Heart & Mind, Sandblasted Mirrors
#WritcoStoryPrompt28

Wide, frightened eyes took in the casual gait of the man walking towards her. Cold beads of sweat broke out across her forehead. It couldn't be him, could it?

It was him! That smirk on his thin lips was too cruel to belong to someone else.
But how could it be? She had killed him years ago!...
How strange it is now life had her hungry a moment ago. Now she's pondering how she'd burned all the narrow and wide bridges between them so many years ago.

She slipped into the shadows under the concrete, as the sun continued to beam over his eyes...
She waited a while to see where he went walking... "Is this a haunting?".

She tried to remember... why she killed it? She didn't like stalking?

What he was doing in the wanderers part of town, and how he was smiling while so?

So many questions could be answered if she revealed he stumbled into her kind of place.

"He doesn't deserve it!", she thought so loud, peoples ears perked ask if the thought bounced off the walls.
"He has that big scar... and here he smiles?"

"Hey, Rockie!".
She swerves to hide!

"Who's calling me?", she wispers...
Looking around, there's no one! She's alone? The eery silence consumes her attention, so she runs to defrost the morning dew from her core.

"Breakfast! Things will be normal when I get there!", as she paces her breath.
