The Colors of People
It's easy to categorize people in terms of black and white. A person who is bad tends to get categorized in the black category and the one who is good is associated with the white. These kinds of distinctions give the impression that people in general are simple and capable of only either good or bad. The complexities of people tend to get overlooked when they get characterized on the basis of merely two colours. Human beings are a combination of many colours. A person can have shades of blue, purple, gray and red along with black or white. It's extremely wrong to assume that a person is either entirely evil or entirely good.

As someone once said, every person is a hero in their own story. And every person is a villain in someone else's story. In short, a person is perceived differently by himself/herself and the society at large. The inherent cause for all conflicts in today's society lies in this categorization of black and white or bad and good.

A majority of individuals fail to realize that they are in fact in possession of far many shades of different colours. As a result, they limit their potentials. Similarly, the larger society, by identifying an individual in terms of either black or white, ignore the possibility that the said individual is much more than two colours.

Rather than inhibiting individual growth, let us therefore try to prevent ourselves from making such narrow demarcations when it comes to people. It is important to realize that people are complicated and their actions are driven by external circumstances. Let us embrace the infinite colours that are waiting to be discovered and reached out.
