Mastering the Art of Simplicity
Today, as I sit here enjoying a cup of coffee, I find myself reflecting on my life from a few years ago, and I am quietly happy and contented with how I have disciplined myself to achieve peace of mind over stress. The best technique I have learned, among the various techniques I have tried before, is to simplify my life.
In the past, I used to be the kind of person who would complain about every little thing. For example, if my room was messy, I would get irritated. It's funny because I realized that I am the one who lives in that room, so I should be responsible for the mess. That's when I started to declutter and throw away old stuff that was no longer important to me.
I was amazed by how much unnecessary trash I had been holding onto for years. I also stopped buying things that I didn't really need. Before making a purchase, I would think about it for a week to determine if it was something I truly needed or not.
Additionally, I stopped accepting things from others that I didn't need. I live in a country where people are generous, and I have relatives, neighbors, and friends who often give away things...
