What is a Scarlet Woman? Is she doing a wrongful or sinning act?
Since the ages past, we have witnessed a number of watershed changes in our education system but, one out of all remain static and which is the very foundational requirement even before crossing the threshold; our acquaintance with alphabets at least mother tongue, if not second or third language.
So, the grammar of any language begins with “Noun” and its applications just by giving very simple definition ( those things our senses can perceive are Noun) we understand the body but what about the soul. What do I mean by soul here..?
After Noun probably we all further to “Adjective”. What does this word Adjective connote? The word which qualifies the Noun(or body) is pronounced as Adjective.
That is to say, Adjective helps us knowing the quality (or character) of our Noun. Just having put a word before a particular word, its character got define.
Now the question surfaces; what will define and express the very traits of Adjective?.............................................
Here in this discourse “scarlet woman” these two words one after the other defining each one , just to understand both these as such a single entity would be a great fallacy. Before understanding entirety of the said phrase(scarlet woman) let me clear head the meaning of these two by parts. At the outset, what did we have ? Did we have anything like man-woman? This difference between the two is result of nature’s wish the way it tweaked particular substance the way it wanted.
Just look at these words man- woman, is there anything which opens your eyes wide, I ween, nothing whereas I see; the “Wo”( WO+MAN) is the expression which completes this one the domineering word; “MAN” since the time immemorial.
Now come to our discussion; I searched through few scribblers regarding the whole word “scarlet woman” but everywhere I happen to meet with prohibited harangue and how this came into vogue. Everywhere combination of these two(scarlet woman) is seen as degrading and filthy. However, on separating these two they attain higher standards, like former (scarlet) symbolizes vibrancy with glaringness of brilliant red whereas women in herself a complete and Sinclair creation. So here, My question is why only a lady is obliged to prove her chastity not man? And, if she fails , others are given exclusive right of etching her in the very frame of scarlet woman. I, vehemently, ask to prove the mandate of declaring someone or something in this or that way. Do we have any sort of systematic procedure established to award such statements : who is as pure as the driven snow and who is ostentatious. None has any exclusivity to speak off someone sinner unless the speaker is YUDHISHTHIR (Pure in heart and soul) however, at one moment YUDHISHTHIR ( one of characters of MAHABHARATA, an Indian epic) resorted to half truth to his GURUDEV(Teacher).
The bottom-line over what cycle of the so called regulated society completes its revolution has blanketed itself in this very shroud of pious and filth to avert their tattered structure to befall. Without scaling our own character ( the man dominant society) how a lady (which is symbol of Shakti) whom we have in every form, right from mother to motherland, can’t be framed as promiscuous.
If one count the statistics all over the world then one will find that there are more women who has survived uncomfortable situations ( molestation) in this or that way ( done to them by their half counterpart) than “scarlet woman” whom we say; doing hellish work. Is it justifiable to judge the book by its cover as few books has there meaning hidden. Is it only a woman what made her “scarlet women”. There is invisible hand( the male counterpart) which is equally as bad or good as she is!
Actually In doing so( designation of sinner or achiever ) we are evading the core question of equality or more I say equity and our failings to create such a world for what we have come out of the “State of Nature” to procedurally structured globe of Life, where each constituent has putting its biological or empirical identity of he and she ( place where no recognition of this or that gender) fly like a free being of Nature in open and unfathomable sky and stich any dream anytime.
