BLoG: What is the best thing about your job.
I must say, there are a few, but mainly I LooVe what I do. Above and beyond, it is a passion to do what I do. Be it Photography, Graphic Design or Content Creation in general, I am always inspired to provide the creativity that many are willing to source out or others to which it just isnt their cup of tea, so to speak. I am inspired to do my very best and provide the most beneficial results to customers and clients. I have to say I LooVe being my own boss. Even though I hate to use the word Boss, you get my drift. Bottom line, I control my own destiny. Only I can dictate my outcome or longevity.
One of my favorite things in the whole world is that I'm not stuck working in a cubicle. The worst thing ever created for the office are cubicles with walls. It's amazing what one can be conditioned to do or the environment that one is forced to get use to. I have always hated being stuck in a cubicle, especially after my head injury. After that it was practically impossible for me to sit in a little corner surrounded by walls. And to function properly was impossible as time progressed. It felt claustrophobic and suffocating. Not to mention, working for the man in Corporate America had run its course. I felt as if I didnt have the ability to function properly. My PTSD would haunt me daily as I succombed to an 8 hour work day. So ideally I LooVe the freedom and space I have now to do what I do and that's create. Without walls or any kind of barriers is amazing and a remarkable feeling.
Yet another "best thing" about my job is the people and businesses I meet. They come from so many different walks of life, each with their own unique story. They have their creative needs and I am their creative provider. Each having their own specific specs, I must handle each customer/client individually. Offering each of them a unique experience is our goal. As no two are ever exactly the same. I am in business to provide any number of solutions, each one a unique blend of my creative abilities.
