The First Man To Land On The Red Planet
In an African, South African, Gauteng, Johannesburg township. There was a boy called Mercy.
Mercy grew up in the hands of his grandmother. After she passed away, his parents had to take care of him. They eventually separated; he lived with his mother for a few years and later lived with his father.
As he grew up, he was very bright when it came to academics; every teacher at his schools new him. Most of the time, he would be participating in public speaking competitions.
Years went by, and he got to high school. He met new friends, he was in a new environment, and therefore, he had to adapt. It seemed so easy, but he wasn't really cautious about the things he had to avoid. Things like; dating, nor sexual intercourse.
One day, when he was a sophomore; he met a girl of which he really liked. He started developing feelings for her, but she wasn't into him. He then decided to approach her, and started to court her. She agreed, and they dated.
Months went by, the girl told him that she was sterile. A few months later, she asked him to be her virgin breaker, and he agreed. They decided to do sexual intercourse, and of course, he was playing it safe until. Until she told him that she no longer wanna use contraceptives, for they are hurting her. So, because she said she was sterile, he had no problem. He was in climax mode after all.
They slept together for several times, not more than ten times though. Later that year, during the festive seasons, they broke up. A year later, she went back to him. She told him that she was pregnant but, he shouldn't worry because, she was planning to arbot the child. He was shocked, he was angry, and mostly, he was dissapointed. He felt betrayed and was a disgrace to himself. A few weeks later, she came back, once again. She told him that she was scared. He had to comfort her, push her to doing it and finally, she went to the doctor. Only to find out that she was seven months pregnant, which meant it was too late.
He got so angry, his parents found out and he finally came up with a solution. He told her that, "After the baby is born, he has to be sent to a foster care home." She then disagreed, she told him that, "If you don't want this baby, it's fine, I'll take care of him all by myself."
Of course he couldn't allow that. He didn't want his child to grow up without a father. He accepted the situation, he accepted his child into his life and avowed himself to his child's life. He tried to fix things between his baby mama but, they never worked out and so, he decided that the only thing that brought them together, was their child. Nothing else.
He started attending sessions on how to be a great father, how to grow a healthy and smart child and he attended counselling, since he realized that he was angry with this whole situation, he wanted to get better and he was better after all.
He went to university, got his bachelor's degree in astrophysics and physics; got his master's and finally obtained his PhD. As he has planned since he was in fourth grade. After university, he decided to apply for NASA. He got accepted, he was trained together with his other crew members and they were the first homo sapiens to land on the red planet (Mars). He was the first to step on the surface and by that, he made history. He was a role model to his son, "MJ," and life was just fastidious for him, his son and most people around the globe.
