Falling for you(Chapter 1&2)
Chapter 1

_Mia's POV_

"Bye Mom!" I threw behind me as I ran out the door.

"Bye Sweetie!" I heard her amused voice yell as I neared my best friend, Paisley's car.

I gently opened the door and jumped in, before closing it and turning to Paisley with an innocent smile.

"I'm sorry." I apologised in advance, trying to avoid my friend's boiling wreath.

She just sighed," You're late." She said, her voice laced with hidden irritation.

"I'm sorry." I guiltily apologised," I don't know what happened. One minute I'm on time and the next, I'm late."

She just chuckled, before saying," It's alright besides, I think I can still cover the lost time."

•••••

"Paise, you're lucky you already have your own car and license. I still need to wait for a couple of months to go for my learner's licence then who knows how long for my car." I huffed.

Paisley just threw her head and laughed as she locked the car, making me playfully pout at her.

She finally calmed down and looked at me with her green orbs shimmering with clear amusement." Don't rush it, besides, you only have to wait for two months, then you'll be eighteen, while I'm turning nineteen this year." She pouted." Either way, where are we going again?"

I chuckled at my carefree friend before answering," Literature."

"Oh man, and I don't have enough energy to face Mrs Adamson so early in the morning. That teacher needs me to have enough energy so I don't fall asleep in her class." She complained as we walked up the stairs leading to the open University doors.

I was so busy looking at my crazy friend in amusement, that I didn't notice the wall until I walked into it.

" Ouch!" I yelped, as I rubbed my forehead, glaring at the pillar.

"Mi, you okay?" Asked Paisley with a barely stiffled laugh.

"Yeah." I grumbled as I continued rubbing the stinging spot, hoping that a bruise or bump wouldn't appear there.

" Come on." Chuckled Paisley as she linked our arms and led me towards our first class of the day. "Only you can bump into pillars my Dear clumsy friend." She mused, making me glare in her direction as she just chuckled at me in amusement.

We walked into the half full class and made our way to our normal seats in the middle. Putting our bags on the table, we plopped down onto the wooden bench.

We sat for a couple of minutes as the class filled up, before Paisley's 'favourite teacher', note the sarcasm, entered the class.

"Alright class, let's begin." She instructed in her lazy droning tone. We're going to be here for a long time.

•••••
"Finally!" Groaned Paisley as we walked out of literature,"That felt like forever." She complained.

"There there." I coaxed as I patted her back with my hand.

"Can we just go home now?" She tiredly asked.

"If we want to fail, yes." I grinned.

"You suck." She glared.

"I love you too." I smiled a toothy smile, making her feign crying.

"I'm tired, I need energy." She dramatically placed her hand on her forehead.

"There there my drama queen." I said, rolling my eyes in amusement at her dramatics.

The next thing I know is I'm colliding with a hard surface.

"Owwee," I whine as I rub my forehead profusely for the second time today," Not again!"

"Hey there, you alright?" Asked the course of my pain in an amused tone, making me quirk my eyebrow questioningly as I looked up.

•••••
"Today was just embarrassing." I dramatically exclaimed.

"Yes, for you. For me, it was interesting." She replied as she suggestively moved her eyebrows at me.

"What was so interesting about today hmm?" I asked with my lips in a tight line and my eyebrows quirked questionably.

" Oh I don't know, I guess just that you literally bumped into our top forward in the school football team, Elliot Smith." She excitedly squealed," That man is absolutely handy handsome."

"Seriously?" I exclaimed as I looked at my friend with disbelief.

"What?" She asked," I'm just being honest, Sweetie." She cockily smirked.

Turning to the front, I was surprised to see that we were on my home's driveway.

"What? Really" I quirked an eyebrow.

" Oh hush." She chastised," I better get going. I promised Mom that I'd help her at the boutique today."

"Oh please greet her for me?" I asked.

"Of course." She chuckled as she playfully rolled her eyes.

Throwing a smile her way, I opened the door, took my bag and jumped out.

"See you tomorrow!" I exclaimed before closing the door behind me.

She sent a wave my way before pulling off the driveway and down the quiet street.

With a sigh, I pulled my side bag up and made my way to the door. Stopping at the closed door, I dug into my bag until I was met with the cold, thick metals as they clinged as I pulled them out. I searched through my keys for the door key which I successfully found in a matter of seconds thanks to the lack of keys on the keyring.

I inserted they key into the keyhole and twisted it. I was immediately graced with the quite sound of the door unlocking before I pulled the handle down and opened the door. I pulled out the key from the keyhole before entering the cool, empty home. With a sigh, I closed the door behind me before walking to the fruit bowl on the granite countertop and grabbing a banana.

Walking back to the door, I used my key to lock it before throwing it back into my bag. Twisting the handle, I made sure that it was indeed locked before I made my way to my bedroom. I walked out of the kitchen and down the hall, leaving the dining room, bathroom and living room behind.

I made it to my room in a few seconds and turned the knob, before pushing the door open. I sighed as I entered my hot bedroom. My bedroom was painted a nice light grey, my bed a nice queen sized bed, my curtains a dark grey with my matching pillows and cover. A small blanket neatly adorned the edge, incase of a cold afternoon or night.

I placed my bag on my little table before making my way to my bed and plopping on it with a sigh of relief. The exhaustion from today radiating through my body in waves as it washed over me.

I peeled the banana peel off before I started munching on the sweet, delicious fruit. My tastebuds instantly appreciating the delectable fruit.

I kicked off my sneakers and got off the bed with my who knows what sigh of the day.

I quickly made my way to the kitchen to throw away the banana peel. My feet instantly appreciating the coolness of the tiles as they cooled my hot feet. The coolness making its way up my feet and to the rest of my body, making me have to stiffle the moan of pleasure that was fighting to break through.

I threw the peel into the trashcan before making my way back to my bedroom. The house was so empty and quiet that boredom gnawed at me just as the exhaustion. Plopping back onto my bed, I layed down this time as I closed my eyes for a much needed nap. Besides, this way, I'll be killing two beds with one stone.

~~~~~
Chapter 2
It's been a week and a half since I bumped into Elliot and Paisley has not made me forget about that incident since. I'm still reliving it today, it's still so fresh in my memories. It feels like it happened just yesterday.
The embarrassment I felt is so deep that I can't help but to blush at the mere mention of it.
It really doesn't help that Paisley is constantly reminding me of it.
Either way, today is goody Saturday and Paisley asked me to join her for a shopping trip. My dear friend absolutely adores shopping and so do I, but she takes the cake. She literally lives by shop till we drop, whereas I live by either shop till you're hungry or shop till you're tired.
"How's this skirt?" Paisley's excited voice asked, pulling me from my train of thought.
I looked at the plain leather skirt. It probably reached just about four fingers above the knees, it was black with pockets lined with silver zips as a zip adorned it's back.
"It's nice."I honest replied.
"You sure?" She questioned, seeking my approval.
"Yes, I'm sure." I rolled my eyes with a sigh as I stated at my indecisive friend." Can you please hurry? My feet are killing me and my stomach is starting to cramp because of hunger."
"Okay okay,"She replied,"Jeez,calm down Mi. Just let me pay for this quick, then we can leave."
"I'll be here, now go go. I'm starving." I complained, just as my stomach rumbled in hunger to prove my point.
"Okay, just give me a sec." She said as she lifted her perfectly manicured, baby pink coloured acrylic nails.
I just gave a nod, too lazy to speak as I plopped on the couch with a sigh. I looked at Paisley's three plastic bags that lay next to me as I tried to ignore my hungry stomach and my hunger dried lips. I absentmindedly swept my tongue over my lips to give them some moisture as I looked at the lip glosses adorning the cases on the wall. I don't know how I left mine at home, but I totally regret it, especially now. My lips are going to start cracking at this rate.
"All done!" Called Paisley excitedly, making me look up at her tiredly.
"Finally!"I tiredly exclaimed as I got up off the couch.
"Sorry about that. How about I treat you out for whatever you want for lunch? I doubt you'll want clothes," She paused as she looked at my tired face," Yeah, probably not. How about some pizza?"
"Sounds good to me." I replied.
I would have said I'd pay for myself, but it would have fallen to deaf ears so why waste my voice... especially when I'm this tired.
I picked up two of the bags and left the last one for Paisley. She eagerly took it and put the small plastic bag that had her new skirt inside the bigger one before clutching it in her hand.
We made our way to the doors and walked out into the busy mall. We passed many of the stores we had already entered as we made our way to the food court.
We finally made it there and the smells surrounding us started making my mouth water. My tastebuds were begging for some food and my eager stomach was more than glad to co-operate.
"So, pizza right?" Asked Paisley as we looked around the food court.
"Ye-" I abruptly stopped as a small scream escaped my lips as I slipped on the dry floor.
I closed my eyes as I prepared for the impact, just to have warm, muscled arms wrap around my waist. My heart thumped wildly in my chest as the adrenaline coursed through my veins, making my breathing ragged, deep and harsh.
"You alright there?" Asked a familiar voice, making my heart skip a beat as a gasp of surprise escaped my slightly parted lips." At this rate, I'm starting to get the impression that you are intentionally finding ways to collide with me. I'm starting to think that you are falling for me."
I pressed my eyes tighter as I kept on chanting in my head,' Let it be a dream, let it be a dream.'
I slowly opened my eyes, to have familiar hazel eyes, glimmering with amusement as they pierced into my chocolate brown ones. The amusement in his eyes mocking me, increasing my embarrassment.
"Are you alright there?" Asked Elliot Smith as the amusement in his eyes, mixed with light concern.
This made me realise that I had been staring at him for far too long for it to be normal.
"Ye- yeah. I'm fine. I'm so sorry I bumped into you...again. I'm so clumsy." I muttered the last part, but he seemed to have caught it because he sincerely smiled at me.
"It's okay, besides I was just teasing you." He smiled as he lifted me up and placed me back on my feet.
"That was just so embarrassing." I mumbled.
"It's alright. Okay, it is a bit embarrassing but nothing to worry about, Treasure." He reassured, making me want to hide as my face heated up and an uncontrollable smile tried to take over my features. My heart threatening to jump out as if it could catch the endearment.
"Mi, you okay?" Asked Paisley with a hint of hidden amusement in her words, making me want to groan. I really wish I could disappear right now.
"Yes." I answered with a smile that felt so wobbly on my face that I wouldn't be surprised if it were.
"Hi," Greeted a different voice, making me turn to find another boy standing next to Elliot carrying Paisley's bags. They must have slipped through my hands." I'm Sam." He smiled instantly soothing my raging nerves.
"I'm Mia. Thanks for picking up my bags for me." I smiled in gratitude.
"No problem." He reassured as he handed the two bags to me.
"Elli! Elli!" Called excited female voices, making us all turn in the direction of the voices. Two very similar girls were grinning as they ran in our direction. They had pitch black shoulder length hair. Baby blue coloured sundresses and what seemed to be diamond stud earrings.
I shuffled away from Elliot as the two girls that looked about the same age as me stopped in front of Elliot with twin smiles and started speaking to him. He however, seemed to understand everything, him and Sam whereas I was blown away at their speed of talking as I couldn't hear a single thing.
They suddenly turned to me as Paisley moved to stand next to me.
"Hi." Greeted the taller one of the two enthusiastically.
"Hi." Greeted the other one shyly.
"Mia, these are my twin little sisters, Annaliese," He gestured to the short and shy one of the two," And Annika." He gestured to the more bubbly and outspoken one." Girls, this is my friends Mia" He gestured to me, which I smiled,"And Paisley." He indicated to Paisley, taking me aback as I do not recall ever introducing Paisley to him.
"And you are?" Asked Paisley teasingly, but a look of realisation took over his features before he slapped his hand on his tan face.
He removed it and smiled at me apologetically," I'm sorry. You must think I'm a jerk for not introducing myself. I'm Elliot."
I just chuckled and brushed him off,"It's okay."
"Would you like to join us for lunch, even though it's nearly 6pm?" He offered.
I was about to decline when Paisley answered," Sure, we were actually on our way to get some pizza."
"Great, my treat." He smiled, making my eyes nearly bulge out in surprise. He is barely knows us, well me yet he is already offering to take us out for lunch.
I was about to decline again, but Paisley sent me a mischievous smile before innocently answering," Okay."
"Great. Where would you like to go? Unless you're set on getting pizza that is"He asked as he gestured to the busy food court.
"Anywhere is fine." Shrugged Paisley.
"Mia?" He asked, put the limelight on me.
"Umm, how about we go for burgers then? Unless you have something else in mind?" I nervously answered, not liking being put on the spot one bit.
"Okay, burgers it is." He grinned.
The burger serving restaurants were mostly on the second floot, so we started heading in that direction.
A hand slipped into mine, making me perk up in shock as I turned to the owner of the hand.
I looked up, to find a smiling Elliot before he said," My mother would kill me if I were to lose the gentleman he raised." He chuckled as he took the two bags from my hand and carried them effortlessly.
Elliot was not a bulky man, yet he was quite tall compared to my 5'2 stature. He was surely muscular, you could see his arms. They weren't bulging out with muscle, but you could tell he exercised because they were muscular. His skinny jeans outlined the slightly bulging muscles from his legs, which was to be expected since he is a football player after all.
Sam was just like Elliot body wise. He and Paisley were walking ahead of us as they chatted non-stop with Sam carrying Paisley's bags as well.
We went up the escalators and chose Mochachos so we headed towards it.
We entered the restaurant and went to the counter to order our food. We sat at one of the empty tables. We started chatting away and I found out that Elliot's sisters are in their last year of high school and they are seventeen years old. Elliot however is 21 and is in his third year of Varsity, same thing as Sam.
He played football in high school and ended up getting a football scholarship. But, turns out, he is not just a good footballer, but he's also an exceptional student. He's an A and B level student, which I won't lie kinda intimidates me because I'm only an C at average student. I barely get level A, B I do but my average is mostly C.
Regardless of that, I made new friends today. Plus, Annaliese and Annika are my age, I'm only a couple of months older than them. I'll turn 18 in May, then on January next year they'll be 18 and it will also be their first year in Varsity.
In overall, we had a pretty good time, except for the fact that I thing I developed a small crush for Elliot. Paisley bothered me about it the whole way back home as we left Elliot, Sam, Annaliese and Annika behind as they headed to the cinema.
What an interesting day with interesting events. Whoever guessed that I would converse with the school's best Forward and the school's best Midfielder.
What a great day, regardless of Paisley's teasing.
