i was glad uncle Travis noticed my bleeding leg
"we were attacked by robbers last night and she got shot trying to run"he lied looking at me with threatening eyes
"uhm ye..yes!yes uncle"i manage to speak out
"we were just coming back from the hospital when you came in"he said
this son of a bitch is sure a good liar
"well am sorry about that,hope you are ok?"he asked
"sure"i said with a fake smile
"well Rick am here because of samantha.her family in Nigeria ask her to come over to spend some time with them,and it's a great idea for her to change environment, right Samantha?"he asked me with a smile
"i would love that,i have never been to Nigeria before and i have heared so much stories and seen many pictures"i said
"well i would love to let her go but she's injured"he said
"(laughed)have you forgotten that am a doctor? i myself is going to Nigeria and i will have her treated before taking her there,so u don't have to worry "he said
"yeah uncle you don't have to worry,I'll be fine over there and i promise I'll be calling to check on you and i will be back before you know it,it's not like am going forever "i said with a smirk on my face, finally am going to my mother's land,far away from this beast i call my uncle
"it's ok, when will she be leaving?"he asked
"today"uncle Travis said
"Today!!"he asked in shock
"yeah,do you have a problem with that?"he asked
"No"he said heads down,and i felt happy
i went to my room to pack my stuff when Rick came in
"Am letting you go not because i want to, but because i don't want Travis to suspect me"he said
"when you get to Nigeria, behave yoursel,else"he said and left
i didn't mind him,am too happy to think about him now
Within a few minutes,i was out of his house,first Travis took me to one of his hospital and got me nicely treated,then he took me to his house for a nice meal
"you can have any room of your choice, we'll leave first thing in the morning"he said and i just smile and nodded.
The next day,i was up very early to prepare myself for the trip,i was the one who even woke up Travis,some hours later we were at the airport
"Samantha"i heared a familiar voice calling me from behind,i turned and to my horror saw Rick
"what the heck is he doing here?"i thought to myself
"just came to say goodbye"he said
"Sorry Ricky,but we got a flight got cacth and we are late already, you'll talk to her on the phone when we get there"he said as he pulled me away,i was relieved.
It took us hours on air before we finally landed on Lagos airport in Nigeria
"wow,this place is breath taking "i said
"You haven't seen the rest yet"he said with a smile,unlike Rick, Travis is not just a doctor,but a traveler like my dad,it was when my dad came to Nigeria for tour he met my mom,to them it was live at first sight,but i don't believe in love
"here there are"uncle Travis said as i came back from my thoughts
"who?"i asked looking round
"your nieces, nephews and cousins"he said
I look at the direction he was pointing to and saw three people,a guy and two girls,my age i think
"uncle,welcome to Nigeria,how was your flight?"the boy asked
"splendid"Travis said
"And you must be Samantha,i have heared alot about you"he said as we shook hands,he looked and acted matured for his age
"same here"i said with a smile
"you are even more beautiful than in the picture"one of the girls said
"Really! thanks"i said
we talked more on the car as they drove us home,when we entered the building,i was mesmerized by the beautiful structure in front of me
"Wow!"i said
"Beautiful right?"he asked
"Are you kidding me!this is breath taking,i never knew Nigeria have such a beautiful building"i said
"I'll take you round the estate tomorrow,now you need to relax"the guy said
