The Other Day (Creativity) & (Drinks)
A few days back I bumped into an acquaintance of mine in a literary fest in Bangalore.
I in spite of my busy schedule I make a point to attend these sort of feast. It allows me to unwind as well as gives me an opportunity to meet budding writers poets etc.
After the pleasantry was exchanged asked her you are being little more creative than before what's it like?
She looked at me balefully and suddenly said you know Krishna my mind is little more free and clutter less when I start writing.
I looked at her again little piequied what is she about to say? She kept quiet for a few moments and asked me what do you do when you write?
I did not really understand her question told her when my thoughts start flowing at any given point of the day I start to write on that thought.
She suddenly asked don't you consume anything before writing your stories, poems quotes etc, especially when you write on your darling Lalitha with a smug on her face. As if to say come on I don't know or what type.
( I am perfectly aware what happens but that does not mean every one does it for the sake of creativity)
Asked her how come? She told me you know once a topic comes in my mind I take a peg or two wait for my mind to be free and then start writing.
Suddenly it was a shock to me since I knew her family not so close but nevertheless we keep in touch wishing on festivals etc.
She has recently crossed 18 who the hell can I do anything, she is too young to be indulging in these things in the name of creativity.
Actually even with out any of these substance she is good and got time to develop her creativity which just does not come like that.
You may get a flash of it and you grab the opportunity but for everything if you are into this you are doomed.
During her younger days my darling daughter Kirthana who is an artist used to paint like no one business she is truly gifted in that form of art I used to tell her why don't you capatilize on this and earn some money.
She used to reply I don't want money you have provided me enough to earn for myself (actually she paints and gifts it to her friends on their birthday) till date in this world she has not touched any substance.
And she is really creative in her domain.
Now coming to the above subject even I don't use any substance in form of alcohol etc when I write. This piece which I am writing now is around 3.50 early morning in Bangalore.
Suddenly I realised in the name of creativity fest etc which are organised young generation both sex are going in a different path altogether.
I am one of the lucky guy to have seen 3 generation before 70 after 70 and after 2000 well well
There is a paridigrm shift in the thinking of each generation a food for thought to me for my future writing.
By the way there has been a long gap on my thriller Janaki and Panchali after writing about 9 to 10 chapters and published in Writco.
Shall start on that soon too
