I heard the door lock open and sow Max coming in.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“I have to talk to you. What was that? You are marrying him? How the hell did you say yes? Did he said he would hurt you if you would accept? And this, this necklace is this the way you use you wish? “ he said showing me the necklace in his hand.
“How about you calm down first. I do not have to tell you everything about my life do I? First have a seat and than we can talk. “
He looked me in the eye furiously. Than he sat on the couch. “Fine, now tell me! Why did you say yes to him?”
“Is it wrong to accept someone’s proposal in marriage?” I asked.
“You,.. did you really wanted it? Didn’t he force you to accept? You can tell me if he forced you, I’m going to deal with it.”
“He didn’t threaten me, nor did he force me. He gave me a choice and I decided to accept his offer. Did I want it? Yes I did. He is rich, he cared about me that day when he told me to run and he seems like a gentleman.” I replied to him.
“Tigreb, I know you. You wouldn’t do this about money. Fine what about us than?” he said.
“You know me? Are you sure about that? Even if you do, people change. Also please don’t talk about that kiss, we both know it was a mistake and there were no feelings there. I said I would allow whatever you would do and I did it, but I didn’t think you would get the wrong idea. I will never be able to be with someone like you!” I said and then the whole house went in silence for some seconds.
“A mistake, no feelings, wrong idea? Yes of course, let’s say it is true. Someone like me though? What do you mean with that? Is it because of what I have done, or is it because of my scar?..” he asked.
“I...”
“Never mind, it isn’t that important anymore. I just need to know why are you lying. "he said staring at me.
"I.. I love him! " I screamed in anger.
He sow me in silence for some seconds and then let a little smile. "Yes, yes of course you do. "
"Why are you smiling like that? Does this look funny to you?" I said confused.
"I'll be honest it does. " he said catching my wrists in his hands.
"What the hell are you doing? Let me go right now! " I screamed but he didn't cared at all.
He pushed me behind laying me to the couch.
"What are you doing let go of me! Max! "
"I have already told you that I don't tolerate lies. You shouldn't have forgotten that! " he said and started lowering his head towards me. I tried to turn my head on the side but before I could he put his lips onto mine. I kept on trying to realise his grip, but he kept on moving still keeping his eyes closed.
I know it well, that if I gave up now I would not be able to protect him anymore. All the pretending and lies would be gone to vain, but I was now to tired from resisting. He really knew me too well. He knew how to test me. "This is the most important part. You can't give up now!" I kept telling myself.
He bit my upper lip and I felt hot tears roll down my cheeks. I'm sure it wasn't because of the pain, but I wasn't sure if they were falling because he was forcing me like that, or because I was trying so much to control myself from him.
Just like that he opened his eyes and than pulled back. He kept looking at me, but for some reason I couldn't. I turned my head to the left. After some seconds he lightened his grip and set me free.
