AN UNWANTED VISIT
Summer vacations were near and my younger brother was very much excited about the place my mom and dad decided to go to. Honestly i was not at all interested. They decided to go to our grandmother's house. Like really!? , who goes to thier grandmother's house during summer holidays. I decided to stay at my house and told dad about the same. After all, dad agreed and with all the tention i had earlier, i ran straight towards my room. I was so tired that i slept. I didn't realised that my parents already left with my little brother for their journey. It was six in the morning, they told me that they would leave at night and i got too late to even say them goodbye. I went to check the doors, luckily they were shut and locked. Mom was perfect, she already locked the doors in order to prevent any consequences. I knew she would scold me afterwards for my casual attitude and why not, she even gave me the duplicate keys so that when they leave, i can handle the things easily. I ate my breakfast , took a bath and turned on my brand new PlayStation. After having a lot of gaming i decided to take a rest, i was tired after all. I was just about to lay down on my couch while my phone ranged. I saw and found it was jack calling me. Jack is one of my school friend. I thought he might have went somewhere this summer vacation. In this doubt i picked the call. I found that he was in town and wanted to meet me. He also mentioned about tom, mili, zara and said that even they are in town this summer and would join us both at the park. I was very much excited as all of my friends were in town as well. I quickly grabbed my cycle keys, locked the doors and left for the park. The park was located 1km away from my house. It was the same park where i used to meet them when i was in school. When i reached there i saw jack waiting for me at the park gate. With greetings we both hugged each other and entered the park. I sat on the swing while jack was standing, waiting eagerly for others to come. He was specially excited to meet zara, his school crush. He truly had affection towards zara but he never expressed it to her and after a long time he was going to meet her again. While he was busy looking at the gate, i teased him and said " ohh ! so you still love her ! ". He knew that i caught him. With not a much serious reply, he just gave a smile and blushed. He was truly excited! Our small conversation just ended and we saw our friends tom, mili and zara racing thier cycles towards the park. I waved them with excitement and so did they. We all met and hugged each other and with smiles on our faces, took our places and started talking about the old golden days. Even after such a long time, nothing changed, the same style and affection they had towards each other, as they did earlier. For nearly hours we were chilling there and having fun but all of a sudden i saw jack arguing with zara. I knew what would might have happened. Thinking the same i interrupted and told jack to calm down. I didn't wanted any fights between them as it would spoil our meet. Jack with a serious face told me okay and was quit angry after that incident. Zara thought it was her mistake coming there to meet us all but i told zara it will not happen again. Zara knew me very well, agreed with what i said and continued her talk with mili. I somehow tried to manage the situation and brought it back to normal. Everything was fine after all. We all were well versed with such disputes between zara and jack so it was nothing new for me , tom and mili. However tom and mili were in a relationship for a long time, they understand things very well then i do. To bring some more fun i started talking about the haunted house that was located near to our gas station. Everyone quickly reacted and questioned me
" Is it still haunted ?". I knew i got thier attention and replied " yes, i heard it from uncle ben, he works at the gas station and while his night shifts he often sees a women in white dress roaming in the hallways ". I continued my conversation saying that " i was shocked to listen that creepy incident from uncle ben because that house is abundant for last 10 years and no one lives there". Listening to me everyone was shocked and told me not to make them feel scared. I was going to end that topic while jack told me that he wanted to go there. Before things go off track i told him "no". However he didn't gave much attention to my words and wanted to go thier still. I knew that i arose the wrong topic but it was already late for me to realise that. Jack told mili , tom and zara to come with him. They didn't agreed and said him to go alone. Jack took his step forward and started walking towards the park gate to visit the haunted house all alone. We tried to stop him but he wasn't ready to listen. So i told him that dont go alone we all are coming with you. I didn't wanted to say that but neither i wanted him to go alone. So i convinced everyone and promised them that no one will get hurt. After all, everyone was ready but were also scared to go there. We all took our bicycles and left for the house. After a 20 minute ride we reached there, it was getting dark. The house looked really weird, it was smelly and had its walls cracked. We were just about to enter while we say a girl there, she looked of our age. At first we were scared as we thought she was the haunted women uncle ben was talking about. However we found that her name was rose and she came thier to see the haunted house too. She was new in the town and was not much aware about that place. So i requested her to go back. As she saw mili and zara with us, she requested to take her to the haunted house too. She continued saying that
" I am working with my new documentary" and said that she would go in that house wether with us or alone. Looking the situation and time we had , we took her with us. Playing safe we told mili, zara and rose to stand near the fence while tom, jack and i brake in the house. We broke in the house and called the girls with us. We entered the house. The floor was weak and was making crackling sounds as we were moving forward. The house looked scary, it had a basement and a second floor. We started exploring the house and rose started recording everything from her camera. Clothes were scattered everywhere in the hallway as if something bad might had happened. The kitchen was completely dirty. While i was checking the drawers i heard a whisper
" GO AWAY ". I was scared like anything and started sweating. I had goosebumps all around my body. It was surely the voice of a women, probably the one uncle ben was talking about. I told everyone about the incident but no one believed me, everyone thought i was trying to mess with them. I knew they will think the same but i was telling them the truth. They continued with thier activities. All of a sudden we heard a scream coming from the second floor. We all got scared and went blank for seconds. At first we didn't dared to go upstairs. Everyone was scared including me. However we gathered our courage and went upstairs together to investigate and it led us to a room. That room had a very bad odour. We were exploring the room and it had a very negative energy trapped inside. I could feel a heavy pain on my chest and was having a very bad headache too. We saw certain paintings there and photo of a bride. We all saw that photo, photo of the women, probably the same haunted women. Rose was busy filming everything but all of a sudden she screamed. We turned back and asked here "What happened? ". In fear she replied". I felt as if something touched my back". Things were getting even worse after that. Bed started shaking, the door slammed and got locked. We all were hearing creepy voices coming from nowhere. We all were scared and were shocked, it was not less than a nightmare for us. We lost hope and thought we would get trapped inside. Mili was trying to open the door but it seemed as if someone had locked it from the outside. Our decision of coming here was totally a mistake. We started praying for our lives and after minutes went, the creepy activities stopped. Mili finally tried her last attempt to open the door and it went successful, we all rushed towards the main door. We finally came out of there and went towards the roadside where we kept our bicycles. We were all in fear and sweat, shocked as well. We didn't believed about the things we went through. I asked everyone if they are fine and was making sure no one got hurt. However no one was hurt physically but the incident was no more less than a creepy nightmare. We all decided to go to our houses. As rose was new in the town and was scared after what all happened to her, i told her that i will drop her home and will then leave. With a tired and scary voice she replied "ok it will be a good idea". We all were in a hurry, without saying good byes , in rush we left that place. I started riding my bicycles so did rose. While i was leaving, i gave a last look to the house and saw a women staring at me through a window of the second floor. She was the bride, maybe the same women we saw in the pics but i wasn't sure about it. I quickly turned and looking forward left that place. I droped rose at her house. She was scared but i told her not to talk about that incident to anyone as it might creat some problem for me and my friends. She said ok and went inside her house. I left for my house and was thinking about that women. Who she was is still a mystery.
