Matriotism: "Core of Feeling"

I like espionage stories so it would be evident that I have read and listen many in numbers of which one I want to discuss here.
The story of three Avengers. It is all about the heroic deed displayed by these 3 agents of RAW during “Operation FIJI”. Having completed the story I had goose bumps and that impulse me to applause them with such a sentence, “ How patriot they are”!.
But, soon I realized that why did I use the word patriot? I thought, I should have used the word “Matriotism/ Matriot” as we regard our land as “Mother land”( Matrabhumi/Bharatmata) rather “Father land”. Patriotism derives its root from the lineage of Father not mother but the “National struggle” we fought for our Matrabhumi to get her release from the fetters of bondage ( Gulami ki zanjeerain) . There was nothing like “Pitrabhumi” I have ever gone through whatever I have passed off was only “ Bharat mata”. Reason of using these feelings in such a way could be many but whereas I think one of the reasons could be related to patriarchal culture due to which men were the only holders of territory(mense) in earlier times. As territory defines any particular geographical unit and land use to be the sole prerogative of father so this way land of father became the father land and the feeling attached with it culminated in the feeling for the land of father got the name of “Patriotism”. In the present day society we need to bring land of mother on par with land of father to calculate the core of nationalism in its true meaning. As, I believe mother should have more right than father over a child qua she , alone, carries and live with the child during the gestation period. This could be the reason why we call “MAA” when we stumbled upon a stone. If this would be the case then Matriotism has stronger say than Patriotism.
