GRANDMA: 1940S MOUNTAIN GIRL
TO BE A WOMEN IN MOUNTAINS ONE HAS TO BE LIKE MOUNTAINS...💌
Her Journey began long before she took her first breath, even before she was born. Her fate was already decided that how her future going to be, irrespective of born child's gender so does her husband's ( Grandpa), they both were tied together before their birth. It's a Life journey of a lady who born in a poor family in the mountains before independence of India in mid 1940s. And Now she is living in her early 80s in the same mountains. It's a journey of life of a typical Mountain girl of 20s century.
Among the seven to eight siblings she might be middle one ( she doesn't remember how many siblings they were.) In the family her childhood was to help the family in household work, domestic animals rearing in the Jungle along with her friends, to collect grass for animals to feed them at home, to work with her mother in fields. No schooling and knowledge about a world outside of her village and mountains along with sight of limited sky view. for her this was the world, the earth and everything. She got to familiar with Jungle at an early age which becomes her work place for rest of the life.
She was so innocent at that time that she got married at an early age and Grandpa was one year younger to her. Means the marriage was decided before their birth and irrespective of age difference, this was a quite tricky to accept because of prevalent stereotypes of that time of Indian society and even today it is prevalent stereotype having older bride in most of the societies.
