Mysterious old woman

The old woman dropped her purse, spilling it's contents all over the sidewalk. He rushed ahead to help her stopping short when he saw the gun under the purse.He hesitated approaching her.Dave was just a ten year old boy after all.He was frightened.
The old woman,with a lightning quick gait caught him and caught him with her right hand while slipping the gun with her left hand into her purse.
"Don't you dare make any noise now,boy. I am not here for you but since you saw it, you will accompany me to the building across the street.I won't hurt you as long as you do as I say."
Dave quietly nodded his head and allowed her to lead him across the street.
The building was huge and it had Guildwig developers and consultancy written over in big bold letters.
He didn't understand why an old woman would try to threaten office going employees with a gun.
"Ma'am,why would you need a gun? I thought you are going to rob a bank or the mall! Don't get angry,I'm just curious,"Dave couldn't help but ask her.
She looked at him irritated and made a signal to quieten down.
She took the elevator,while smiling at all the employees passing her.
" All of them enjoying the life my husband and son provided them, but when they needed support all turned their backs and scooped like vultures when they fell..",the old woman muttered softly while smiling weirdly at the people.
Dave was now feeling restless.He felt things were to end very badly for everyone in that building.When he tried to warn a man near him with his eyes, the old woman came in between them and glaringly looked at Dave.
The elevator finally stopped at the top floor.
Only Dave and the old woman was there.
She got out and told him her story.
This company was made with her husband's money, sweat and tears.Her son took it to even greater heights. Everything was going great until his trusted staff trapped her son into a drunk tiff with his father.The end was a very horrible car accident where her loved ones lost their lives.
Those who were responsible for their deaths are now the heads of the company,the one made by her family.She just wants revenge.She has no other purpose in life. She told him to leave,call the cops or inform the staff after the elevator goes down.
She smiled at Dave and waved a goodbye.
Dave could see the pain in her smiling eyes and wanted to help her but she had pushed him away to the elevator.
He stood rooted thinking over what she had said.
She isn't planning to come back alive from where she's going.
He turned pale and fainted in fright.
When he opened his eyes,Dave was in the hospital .He had been brought by the cops,he was told by the nurse.
Later,he gave his address and told them what the old lady told him.
He asked them hopefully,"Is she alive?"
They didn't answer.
His parents were called to come pick him up.They had been panicking as he had told them he was going to Paul's house .Instead of Paul, the cops had called them and told them to meet him at the hospital.
Dave couldn't think of anything but the old woman.He couldn't hear his parents voices.
His dad put the news playing on tv mentioning about me and the old lady.Her name was Maria Guildwig.She had got a confession from the killers on video and killed them after that. The video went viral.She disappeared after that.
Nobody found her body.
It's a mystery to everyone.
Dave hopes she found peace and is able to live on wherever she is.
