"So....What's your name"she said with a smile that I wasn't sure if I could fight singing with such a nice heart.
"Well... hello dear.... my name is Caroline." I wasn't sure if Been had told her about me or not but I wanted to forget about Ben and move on. "What! You're Caroline? Then maybe you could help me". I rolled my eyes, here we go again was she really asking me for an advice... relationship advice. OMG
"How can I help you though"
"Well.... my boyfriend mentioned well...."she stammered and I knew I had to go to bed early for tomorrow so I interrupted her. "You don't need to be scared". She smiled and came to my bed and sat beside me. She held my hands and looked at me straight in the eyes. She didn't seem happy to me, looks as if she had been hurt. I squeezed her hand tightly. Then she started crying, but I could still see that smile. I would give up my feelings for Ben if I had to consider that smile.
"Well, my boyfriend... has told me something about a girl... her name is Caroline and I think she is back to haunt me". I smiled and yawned. "My name is Caroline and I am not good at giving advices especially about relationship... so if you could tell me what's really going on I think that will be better". "Well, my boyfriend went to jog early in the afternoon and while he was done with jogging, He called me and asked me if I would love to come see him and I did some runs and after that we met.... then we kissed until this girl came out of nowhere and I don't just know..."
I smiled and said "Then her phone rang and bla bla bla".We both laughed. Then suddenly her eyes turned to me with shock.
"Wait, how do you know that... were you the girl.... so it isn't a coincidence that your name is Caroline?". "Listen, I am Caroline Juggs but I don't have anything for your boyfriend and I am not in the mood to explain either". I smiled and took my towel and went to the bathroom.
*Flashback*
(HEY CAROL OF THE BELLS". MY EYES SHONE WITH EXCITEMENT BECAUSE I KNOW THE ONLY PERSON WHO CALLS ME THAT. I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY MAMA FOR ALLOWING MY NEW FRIEND FROM SCHOOL INTO OUR HOUSE.
"HI, ANNA. WHAT'S UP". I SAID WHILE LAYING ON MY BED SO SHE COULD SIT."I AM GOOD.SO....TODAY IS GOING TO BE ALL ABOUT YOU...YOU WILL TELL ME YOUR CRUSH, WELL YOU WILL TELL ME ABOUT BEN". SHE TICKLED ME WHILE SAYING IT AND MY MAMA OPENED THE DOOR TO MY ROOM, BRINGING US SOME SNACKS. "THANKS MAMA DEAR". I SAID WHILE SHE SMILED AT MY MUM. "YOU GIRLS HAVE FUN!'.
"SO, AS I WAS SAYING....UM! WHAT'S UP WITH YOU AND BEN, SEEMS YOU ARE PRETTY MUCH INTO HIM.UH?"
"WELL, WE ARE FRIENDS AND YES! I AM INTO HIM BUT NOT THAT MUCH.... SO THAT'S ALL I WANT TO SAY, SO TELL ME ABOUT YOURS" "WO! SLOW DOWN GIRL, TODAY IS GONNA BE ABOUT YOU, WHILE TOMORROW WILL BE ABOUT ME". I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT EMOTION SHE HELD RIGHT THERE THOUGH, SO I JUST SMILED. "TOMORROW". "YEAH, TOMORROW.... LIKE WHAT I MEAN IS IN THE FUTURE"
"WOW, I CAN'T WAIT GIRL". I SAID WITH A PLAYFUL EXPRESSION. "YOU WILL KNOW ME VERY WELL" AND WE BOTH LAUGHED)
I entered into the shower and allowed my tears to fall and mix with the water. I was really sad because now I didn't know what was going to happen to me now. will I be able to move on here?., with Joe as my roommate?, With Ben in my school?, With Anna's betrayal, without my mum with me?. I finished in the bathroom, so I decided to go to bed. As I entered the room I saw that Joe was on her bed and her smile was very wide and the light from her phone shone on her face. 'guess she is talking to Ben' I smiled to myself. Then her phone rang and I heard everything they said
*Joe's Phone Call*
Joe: Hey Ben.... What are you doing?
Ben: Joe, Are still angry with me?
She put the phone on speaker for me to hear and increased the volume but she didn't know that I was very good at eavesdropping even without the speaker on. She smiled to me with excitement. Damn! I would really love to be her friend that's why I didn't want any drama with her about Ben.
Joe: Well,you will need to solve your shit! or else I am...... fucking done here. She looked at me with a playful expression. And I gave her a thumbs up for that statement of hers.
Ben: Could you perhaps you know.... Come to my house tonight and stay over.... You don't need to worry about tomorrow's class...I will be eager to drop you off tomorrow.
Joe: Okay, I will call you later, please I just need some seconds.
I was already blushing, I could see how happy she was. This is love. The type I haven't experienced, the type I want to experience. I couldn't help but blush at my own thoughts. She jumped and climbed my bed in a rush and pulled me into a warm and surprising hug.
"Oh! Thank you so much Caroline,I really thought you came back to his life to separate us". what?! Did she just say that. well I guess I could have felt the same way. "well, Caroline, I would have really loved to day m stay with you...... especially since its your face night here!. But I don't know what to do.... of course I could tell him that I am not interested. Just to stay with you..?". "There is no need to do that Joe, you should go if you want and I can manage on my own". We both smiled, hugged and exchanged numbers in case anything goes wrong.
I put on some music. I am alone in the dark and it was time to sleep. For no reason though, I started crying until I feel asleep I guess.
"Damn! What's that doing" "oh!Jeez, it's time for school". I had started sweating because I was nervous that this was my first day. My mum had already sent in a 'Goodluck princess' message. I rushed to the bathroom and washed my face, brushed my teeth and did some light makeup, so I could cover up the little marks under my eye. I definitely didn't want to look full on my first day of entering the class. Well,I didn't want to show lack of Care so, I sent a 'Goodmorning' message to Joe.
I grabbed some snacks and I made sure to wear something sexy and girly so I decided to wear a short pink dress that had a flowery hand and low flowery neck. It didn't touch my knee, it was just like the gown Ariana Grande wore in her Thank you next music video. Then I wore a black net underneath the gown. I took my phone, with the small minute remaining, to take some photos. I wanted my mum to smile this morning. Done and Done. With the GPS and some people stopping me on the way, I was able to get to class one minute before it started. phew! That was so close!. I sat down at the back. A boy with a pink, natural and big lips came to sit beside me. He wore a ninja gray top with orange Jacket and orange shorts. I was confused because I didn't want to talk to boys at least not on my first class.
"Hey, my name is Trevor......Will. Nice to meet you". He brought out his hand in attempt to have a handshake. But,I had other plans and I was a drama queen after all. I put my two hands together and smiled and said "Nice to meet you too". He laughed. I think he thinks that I fell for him, maybe that was how he got the attention of other girls but I am not like them .
"So... could I get your number please...". I smiled and asked. "Why?". "um.... Beautiful, you see, there is gonna be a party later today and a hottie like you shouldn't go alone".
"Thank you so much for the compliment, but I already have something planned with my..... boyfriend." I smiled and I saw his face , he looked sad, so I added "maybe sometime". Class finished and I got some assignments done and arranged my room in time. I went to some sites on my phone to search for some laptops, if I will stay in my room constantly, I would need something to keep me company. Then came a knock on the door. 'Why will Joe be knocking when it is her room'. I asked myself. So I stood up and put on my light sweater to cover my cleavage because it could be 'Jessie and the boys' I thought to myself. I opened the door and Joe came in "Hi" we said in unison and smiled. She came in and I was about to shut the door when she said "Em! Caroline?" please don't shut the door , my boyfriend's here". As soon as I heard that statement of hers, my heart skipped a bit because I knew get boyfriend was BEN. I forced a smile out and was about to rush to my bed so I wouldn't pay any interest in him coming here but before I could move BEN CAME.
