she who is the light of the night. she who is capable of taming the violent sea. she who is surrounded and admired by the brightest stars.

including you, who comes up before the break of dawn just to sneak a glance of her beauty. you, who makes her bright by shining on her at night.

i'm so silly, thinking i could ever compare with one so magnificent.

i am only mercury.

a backward moving planet. one who struggles to move forward.

we are so close yet so far, my sun.

there are days where i find myself
yearning to feel you caressing every inch of my bare skin. yearning to be shined upon by your light. yearning to be as tranquil as the goddess of the night.

but i know i'm just silly for these thoughts.

i am only mercury.

foolish enough to stand by your side with the hopes that i don't get burned by your light.
