Lines of Love; Chapter Seven/ Part Four
Lines of love; Chapter 7/ Part 4

Cassie/

We spoke about these kinds of things before and how our emotions help us make bad decisions. I'm happy at how she handled it but I hate feeling left out and seeing Joy act like that is scary in its own way. We finish our date without further problems but that conversation hadn't been addressed. I just need to approach it better than I have before so we didn't end our night on a bad note.

" Today was amazing Joy. I enjoyed it, thank you."

" Yeah, it was great..."

" Everything okay Joy?"

" She was someone from school days, I swear this place will always remind me of the person I was."

" I know who you are now Joy, that's enough. We both have our problems and pasts but we learned how to face it together right."

I'm still that scared person afraid to lose her and she recognizes it easily. Her arms wrap at my waist to pull me closer till her lips find mine. I don't think I can keep up with her no matter how hard I try, but that's okay I know she won't leave me behind. Even if I get scared or my emotions cause me to doubt she will bring me back to her. That night we stayed up a little later spending even more time together discovering a colorful future. However, she did suggest dinner with her mother in the coming days. That woman terrified me but I feel it could help us grow, so I agreed readily.

Once morning hit it was time to start another day but this time wanted to make breakfast. Joy has always pampered me in our relationship even when I tried I just couldn't keep up. So I'll make a bigger effort to do what I can for her, showing her the same love she does for me. A message came through from Gina to my surprise but she was checking up on me. She felt like an older sister so I couldn't help talking to her and telling her what happened. The only part she could latch on to was Joy's wife's confession. I can't blame her that's what stuck with me most and still brings a smile to my face. Being who she is Gina decides to ask about a double wedding but I didn't know if we were ready.

So I shared my doubts with her but she didn't dismiss them and instead gave me ideas. So I stacked her pancakes and took her favorite syrup so I could write a message for her. Taking a big leap forward in more ways than one for us which would also show me where we stand. After setting the food down on her side of the bed I decided to give her a light kiss and a good morning whisper.

" Morning sunshine... It's time to wake up."

" Mmm... Do I have to cass?... I mean I have everything right here."

Not sure how she managed to turn over so fast to grab me and pull me forward. But the giggles wouldn't stop as her playful side continued to shower me in loving kisses and playful pokes. Finally, I could break free enough to remind her of breakfast.

" Breakfast in bed, I thought that was my job?.... Oh?. Cute handwriting from my future wife, you are one surprise after another this morning."

She took a bite of her food but when she leaned in to kiss me I got a taste of her sticky lips. Another fit of giggles as she once more places kisses on my lips and cheek, the scent of strawberry is strong. I finally get her to focus on eating so we can get ready for today. Gina gave me some courage to take a step forward but I don't think we can move as free in these things. But I still talked to Joy about everything I wanted to do and what I wanted us to consider fully. My life would be complete with her that I know deep inside of me. Being a child learning relationships isn't always all bad sometimes it's good.

The first place we went was a little shop Gina found that sells homemade gowns and other wedding clothing. Joy would never wear a dress but I'm sure we could find something for her to wear. I personally don't like the bulkiness of a wedding dress either so we both needed options. Gina said she would come to help us and even Cait was coming along so today was gonna be a big day. When we entered I think Joy was more surprised looking at the setup they had. I felt extra giddy so I took her hand pulling her along down isles to shop. Joy looked so beautiful smiling like this and for some reason, she looks a little distant or sad even. But I didn't wanna ruin the day yet so I just kept an eye on her.

The old lady running the store came up to us offering suggestions that would fit us. Just then Gina and Cait entered which made me even happier. I quickly gave them both a hug greeting them, quickly catching them up.

" So Cass, Howa Joy so far?"

" Cait we promised to help with the wedding shopping. Not pry."

" It's okay Gina, Hoys doing okay."

" Well, apparently Gina and Astra are gonna do the wedding soon. And then take a vacation right away."

" How soon Gina?"

" Next week or so, we can't wait... Well Astra Can't wait it seems so yea "

I can't believe how fast they are moving but they seem so happy. This is similar to how I was when I had gotten terminal but I pulled through. If Joy hadn't entered my life would I have made it so far and found so many wonderful people.

" Let's all do a wedding together, it'll be a great memory for us. Cait you and Veronica are planning, right?. I'm sure Gina will help out and I will to of course."

I couldn't believe what I suggested but it feels right for all of us.
