Really, this is what you fear?
Really, this is what you fear??
I met a man in a train, he could be in his late 30s or early 40s. He proudly said, his wife is an American Indian. He recently visited India to meet his mom who is very sick, almost bedridden. While he continued to talk about temple and culture, etc. He said, his wife doesn’t like to travel to India especially don’t like to visit temple because of roads. And his wife is also not visiting his mom. I was little upset with his wife. Who can't take care of his mom in spite of having maids at home. Then he continued talking about old age homes, that can take care of the adults. That broke my heart, why cant he take care of his mom when she is old. She carried him for 9 months, cleaned his shit before he was potty trained. Gave good education and helped him to get a girl. And now all he can do is throw her into some old age home, and wanting some one to take care of her. Who can take care of his mom better than him? She didn’t teach him to take care of her at her old days or something went wrong with our education system? All we want is to study, get well educated, go to USA, get green card and settle. Is that all she taught him when he was young? I couldn’t stop thinking. He said another disappointing thing - that he can now get maids in India, but with this young generation going great guns, it might be difficult to get maids in the future. Really ? Is that your biggest worry?
Why can’t you teach your children to take care of you, when are getting old. Is this why you support religion and caste system, so much? I may support all religion and the caste system until it doesn’t affects another person. I really hate that man , who doesn't show love for his mom or country. His wife is disrespectful to the family and country. Failed education and society.
