He could have still lived even with her hatred and anger, yes anyways, he expected it. After all it was his and only his fault, that he left her midway in life, too self involved and afraid of the responsibilities, to take care of his old parents and their little kids. Never even gave it a thought that how would she manage loads of debt with no education, no experience and alone just at an age of 19?

He has now returned after 15 years expecting her to be angry but still accepting him like his parents did, as he was their only son, or like the kids, as they were still young and had no choice, and well, he was her husband, still, atleast on papers and in the eyes of society.

Her indifference to his existence, engulfed him with self-loath and grief so severe, he wished everyday, if only he could die.
