The next morning, the coach took them on their first trek. He guided them in climbing a small hill and as Dana was doing, she heard screams coming from up. She saw that saw that someone was just falling down towards her.
She quickly took a corner out of the falling person's way and took a long breath. Everyone looked down at the person who fell down and died.
When forest rangers called the sheriff, he investigated the scene and said that Sam is the one who died. Everyone were shocked at the moment and the coach had turned pale.
The sheriff said that someone stabbed Sam with a sharp object which made Sam fall down and die.
The rangers checked everywhere and everyone's backpacks for any sharp object.
Dana saw that when one ranger was checking Matthew's backpack, he was super nervous. But the ranger called out that there is nothing except a very large tin box of cassets.
The sheriff had no evidence to prove anyone guilty so he told the coach to leave the forest with the students in the very first moment of the next morning.
At the cabin in the evening, everyone were talking just about Sam. Dana told Lina what she saw in Matthew's eyes when his backpack was being checked.
She also said that it can also be Matthew who was fighting with Sam the previous night.
Lina said that they can't blame anyone without evidence. So, both of them planned.
When Matthew went out, Lina and Dana crept quietly into his room and checked his backpack.
Dana took out the tin box and when she opened it, came the thing which she was expecting- A middle sized Machete.
Her suspision had turned to reality. Lina and Dana decided to show this to the coach when Matthew entered the room to see what has happened.
Matthew looked towards both of them with evil eyes. Dana and Lina stared in horror as Matthew walked towards them slowly and slowly...
Was Matthew really the murderer of Sam? Is he going to kill Lina and Dana? Will the two girls survive till the end of the mystery unsolved?
