A World Apart: Chapter 5
After walking together with her for a while it felt like I had been walking with her forever and I wanted to keep walking with her forever. But she had to go, if anyone found her we both would be in trouble. So I lead her to a gate back to her own dimension.
When I told her that she should go she refused point blank, saying no one cared for her in her own world and she wanted to die anyways so she won't go back. After failing to convince her about her how important she must be to her people I take her to Sinzo, my best friend to help me with her.
"This is Sinzo, my best friend, my brother, my everything." I introduce him
"Cut the crap bro, what do you want me to do." He asks me knowing full well that I'm oiling him to try and get his help, Naoko smiles a little, my heart jumps again.
After scolding me for a while in private he arranges for her a place to stay with a condition that she should stay hidden and wouldn't try to talk to anyone else.
At the end of the day I leave her, excited to meet her again the next day. When I go to her she is dressed in a magi rob, our traditional dress.
I take her out with me because she wished to see a dragon, she has never seen one and I couldn't tell her a no! I take her to Azure worried that Azure would definitely insult me infront of her but by some magic he didn't. Infact he didn't just let her touch him, he also gave us both a ride without throwing us even for a single time.
"I believe you are the one casting spell around here" she chuckled and then hugged me. I froze in surprise first but then gladly hugged her back.
"This has been the happiest I have been in so long, thanks" she says teary eyed.
"Thanks for everything. At this point I'm not even worried if you are a serial killer, I'm just happy to have met you" she says jokingly. I chuckle and scratch my head
"I assure you I'm not" I tell her crossing my heart
"That's what a serial killer would say" she says looking at me almost seriously. I look at her confused, worried that maybe she means what she is telling me
"But if you are a serial killer, you gotta be the cutest" she whispers in my ear and then goes on playing with Azure. I stand there stunned, my heart beating like a drum.
