Poem- The unchangeable fate (INNSAEI September edition)
My anthology of short stories,The Land Of Unfree Laborers by Dr.Ujjwala Kakarla, was a relief during the pandemic.I am so humbled and delighted to see my poem ,"The Unchangeable Fate",as well as the quotes in the noble journal,INNSAEI.
The dedication, creative brilliance and the great effort to create peace and happiness through the medium of words, thoughts, short stories and great interviews makes it a worthy and gifted journal.
Thank you Orbindu Ganga and Tejaswani Patil 🙏🙏Feel blessed to be part of the september edition🙏

~The unchangeable fate
~

She walks like a diaspora
Wandering lonely in the crowded streets
She is insane
The blanket she once admired and covered
Is torn apart like her fate
The world she used to live in is now her dreams
The dream now she refuses to be reminded
The reality is felt every passing hour
The memories fade away as the years pass by
A deep enigma engulfs us
Is the woman really lost?
The lacuna is created by us
The stigma is sown by us
As you may walk alone
Talk blunders
Beg for food and shelter
I pause to recollect my mind
The saga of so many rulers
Makes me believe
You might be the queen of some past rulers
You could be one of the aristocrats of those kingdoms
The shining jewels hidden in the tired and restless eyes
The faith seems to be lost
As her hands stretch
To beg for the survival
Though the society see the woman
In her shabby untidy clothes
The reality is huge and loud
The people are blind
Blind with our own ignorance
Ignoble, hungry for a better life
As our desires in plethora
We seem to forget the women in her
Shabby, untidy fate!
