The picture in the frame held a lot of memories. Some good, some sad. Her tired eyes roamed over it one last time before she tossed it in the fire. It was time to start afresh but it never was easy. She knew that it was time to move on and she did with pride. "A day at a time" she said. She took it one day at a time and it helped her heal.
She started becoming happy, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. She gracefully lived her life, the life she never imagined she could have. She finally realized that holding on only sets you back and at that point moving on and letting go were the only and best decisions she has ever made.
The decision she never regretted because she started seeing the beauty of life and she learnt that all that is left is a memory that has no control over her life.
