Pepper - part 3
I glanced at pepper. He was shivering as if it wanted to tell me that he missed his parents. I hesitantly took his box in my hands. They were sweating as never before. I carefully took him downstairs. I could hear his parents' loud chirpings in the garden. My mom told me to keep his box outside so he can go back to his parents. One parent was sitting on a lime tree, and the other had probably gone to bring food for Pepper. One parent started flapping its wings forcefully in the air in front of Pepper. He was showing Pepper the way to fly. Pepper did the same. He jumped into the air out of the box and fell on the floor. I thought it was hurt. But he was not going to give up. He flapped his wings harder and harder. Suddenly, the second parent, probably the mother, flew and put some fruit in Pepper's mouth. She was feeding him! How caring these parents were! His mother went near him as if to say, 'you can do it!' I was looking at this from a distance. Suddenly, mom had called for breakfast. I turned back, hoping for the bird to fly. Suddenly... 'chirp chirp!!' Pepper was in the air, with both his parents. This was his first ever flight! My happiness had no bounds. My mom then called again. 'Jessie! Come on! Breakfast!!' I smiled and went to the kitchen. After a while, I looked at the garden. Seems so empty right? I missed Pepper and his parents' chirpings. Oh, how pleasant they were! But suddenly, I realised- he was gone.......
