I am unique not strange.


Being unique in this monotonous world is not less than a blessing. However, if you are surrounded by unnecessary fears and self-created guilts then you would love to be unchanged and would discourage to be distinct because being stereotyped and conventional, keeps you falsely satisfied.

Traditional norms and trends of the society which we have unknowingly adopted while being nourished are embedded so hard in our minds that we even fear to think about being different from the mainstream and resultantly we keep allowing ourselves running in the same conventional race and feel secure ourselves.
Moreover, it requires a lot of will and determination to swim against the tides of the society because people who surround us won't miss a single chance to taunt for being different and make us realize that we are sinner because only that way they would feel themselves satiated in their beings.
On the other hand, if someone like me who dares change himself and starts his journey on the roads which are less travelled mostly, he comes across many obstacles on his way. That is the moment where, your enthusiasm and commitment play the role.

I personally, despite seeing manifold hindrances in my life, have continued my journey to be different from the society because I don’t need false satisfactions and so-called approvals of the people. I love myself enormously, my job is also pleasing for me and I don’t hesitate to think differently from the people. I do what I like and I quit what displeases me. I feel contented to be having what I possess. I don’t lie to people and don’t have multi-faces. I hate to pretend to be someone which I am actually not. I have simplified my life as much as I could because, being complex and unclear about this material world revolts me and causes unnecessary frustration which I can't afford in any case.
I believe, we become what we think most, so we should guard against the negative thoughts and fears which my derail us from our destined paths. Following urdu couplet best describes me,
"Hum kyun chalain us rah per, jis rah per sub hain chalay,
Kyun na chunai wo rasta, jis per nahi koi chala".
