Memories of the Past

The story starts as a 28 year old girl Sarah visits her grandparents's house after 14 years. She enters the house with a smile on her face. She stared at the wall at the hallway in which she drew with her crayons and remembered her father scolding her. But grandmother saved her from her father's scoldings. She saw the old table where her grandmother used to sit sewing woolen gloves for her during winter as Sarah laid on her lap which felt like one of her cosy sleeps of all time. Her grandfather used to play with her in the garden with her toys and they also used to feed the birds there. She slides her hands in her bag and throws a few bread crumbs to see that do the birds still come to eat. But there wasn't a single bird. She opens the cupboard and finds a box which has many woolen gloves and under all that laid a picture of her grandmother's lovely angel Sarah. Sarah kept the box in the cupboard and started crying. Those were the tears which shows the true love and relationship between her and her grandparents. She runs upstairs to her room where she used to study hard early morning and her grandmother would make her a cup of hot and delicious tea with a few biscuits. She ran towards the hallway through which the ladder to the attic can be seen. She climbed the ladder and found a letter. Which says
"Dear Sarah,
It's me your Grandmother Rachael! Unfortunately your grandfather's no more dear. I know it's sad. I don't feel good too. So who knows this may be my last conversation with you. Don't worry I will never leave you! If you want to remember me just look at the moon I will be there looking at your from the top. My lovely grand daughter. May god bless you dear.
Yours Lovingly,
Rachael."
This brought a tear to her eyes. She began crying hard and slept there for few hours. When she was asleep she sees herself sleeping in her grandmothers lap and her grandmother patting her head. She sees her grandfather smiling and looking towards her. As she woke up she realised its Night time already. She Went toward the terrace seeing the stars and says "Thank you grandma and grandpa you are the best people in the whole world".
