I grew up without a father figure because my father passed away when I was at a very tender age and life became hard for us afterwards and my mother had to play the role of a father and mother simultaneously. Fast forward to this moment, It dawned on me that my father's name seems to have been forgotten by everyone who knew him. So in order to honour him, to make sure I never forget him, and to make his name reign, I have decided to add his name (Osamede) to my pseudonym. I felt his love the little time he was present in my life and I will live to cherish those moments in my heart. In the future, I'll make sure my kids bear his name as their surname instead of the general family name (Obaseki), and I hope this makes him proud wherever he is.
