The three friends found themselves on a small island, grappling with the mysterious letter and the incredible possibility of a vast treasure on Lenmark's Island. If such a treasure existed, why was the government unaware of it? Just then, a boat carrying the island's notorious drug smugglers docked. Armed men disembarked, searching for Crystal, Johnny, and Snow.
The trio hid in a bush, concealed in a hole. Armed men scoured the island, but how long could they hide? Crystal, in a moment of panic, tore up the letter and threw it away. Johnny whispered, "You're crazy! Why did you tear up the letter? Now how will we find the treasure?" Crystal replied, "If we had kept the letter, they might have killed us. Now we'll face them and offer the code from the letter in exchange for our safety." Snow agreed, "That's a good idea, but we can't give them the code. The treasure probably belongs to the government and should benefit the people." Crystal said, "Exactly, I have another plan. Leave it to me."
The three emerged from hiding and were confronted by the armed men. A menacing-looking man named Brooks said, "Hello kids, I'm Brooks. I work for Marcos, a big businessman. We're here for the letter your uncle gave you." Snow asked, "How do you know my uncle? What happened to him?" Brooks replied, "Nothing much. We were searching for a brother and he showed us the way.
