Wrong Number
I had just bought my new phone then, as my previous phone was shattered on one side of the screen like skin bearing stretch-marks. The latest phone was bought through online shopping, which has become the business contagion that has been spread in people these days. I brought the phone to the college and as my friends noticed the latest addition, they insisted me to take selfies with them, since it would turn out to be the phone's first picture memory.

After the class concluded, my friend had accompanied me to the College Cafeteria to indulge in some juicy treat, as it was a pleasant relief for the scorching heat back then. We both ordered the unusual Carrot Juice, since it was the massive combination of Taste and Health. It was a soothening escape from the intense climate. After the summer pleasure, I decided to call my Dad to come and pick me up. Since it was a latest smartphone, I wasn't much acquainted with the dialing pattern of it and accidentally dialed to my Classmate, who also happened to be my Team-mate for that particular semester. He attended the call and talked in an unexpected tone as though he hadn't thought that I would call and said "Hello?".

I had realised that I made a wrong call only after the confused voice from him. It was kind of surprising because we would talk only if necessary to discuss about team experiments, eventhough we were in the same team, we were not friends and did not make conversations other than studies. So it was a wierd and unusual intervention, which we both didn't expect to happen. I quickly told that I had called by mistake, despite the crowd in the cafeteria was hindering the much rapid wrong call and held up. My friend was busy with paying for the juice and did not recognize this Hiatus. However, I think something changed within me after the call, if not consciously, atleast deep inside the Emotion pumping organ. I then got a call from my Dad that he would be coming soon and I waited with maximum Patience.

My college was almost half an hour away from my home which also owes to the tremendously tedious traffic intertwining between every other street. As my Dad had reached finally, my friend and I got into the car and just wanted to go home and get exhausted in our comfort. We were on our way to home when overcooked thoughts started to spiral into my Mind. "Oh, I held up the phone half way, what if he wanted to ask me something!!? I should not have ended the call abruptly!" was the constant thought crossing my mind to and fro. I knew that memory would waver inside me for long and also anticipated that this call could be the ice breaking moment between us. I dreamt of becoming best friends with him all of a sudden and thought hard as to how the relationship would turn out....
