Do you know that voice in your head? To whom you probably say, “Can you just make up your mind?”
I know, you know, what I am talking about. The one who keeps you company even when you’re alone.
I call him Ollie because as you know, he is wise and silly; like an owl as well as an ullu. He has been with me ever since I can remember but I only named him recently to introduce him to you. He was pleased to meet all of you. Even though he is a little shy, I coaxed him out of his shell.
Yes, I know that is a little hard to believe given how dramatic he is. But believe me, he likes his own space!
While I was negotiating with him, to make a public appearance, I asked him, “What would you like to be called?”
“Are you seriously asking me that?”
“Since you are capable enough so why not?” I replied.
“I don’t need a name. Names are limiting,” Ollie stated.
Yet again, this paradoxical creature sent me to wonderland. “What is that supposed to mean?” I pondered. I knew Ollie could hear me, he always can.
But he was adamant that he would not take a name. “How will I describe you then?”
“Not my problem, why are you getting me in the middle of this?” Ollie complained.
“Come on! There are so many more like you out there.”
Ollie gave me a shy side glance as though the possibility of the existence of someone like him had never crossed his mind. He remained silent.
“Come; let’s go for an adventure together, Ollie!”
Ollie’s eyes lit up. Bereft of words he expressed his acceptance for the name.
And that is how Ollie came into being!
