"I'm fucked!" have TJ rub his face with fear in his eyes.
"Let's buy used he said. You can get it clean he said. Yeah well look where that got me!!" show him pause. "He is going to kill me!!!!! No he wont i will fix this!" he grabs his back pack and runs out the front door.
Show Danny waiting at a table in Bowie's Diner sketching on a pad of paper.
Then a pretty tall red haired woman sneaks up behind him and says "whatcha drawing?" have danny flinch and look beside him.
"April hi! I'm just doodling. Thanks for coming it's nice to see you." he stands up and gives her a hug
"I'm happy you asked me I've been wanting to get out of the house." she takes the seat across from him.
"I can feel that. I've been working on this art project for four months and have not gone out much unless my roommate forces me too."
"Ahh what art project?"
"Just this comic book I've been working on. I've had the concept for years but I never used it. So what about you? What had kept you in your place?"
"I paint portraits of people. They take forever especially with picky clients."
"Wow that's awesome! How long have you been doing portraits for people?"
"About ten years. But I've been painting since I was ten."
"That's impressive! I'll have to have you paint me sometime."
"Yeah that would be fun!"
Switch views to TJ taking a blue sharpy and coloring the white spots without success.
Next show him painting them but once dry it pealed right off.
"Damn it!!! You evil couch!!"
Show Danny and April getting up to leave and stop outside.
"I had a really time Danny."
"Me too. But I have to ask, did it feel... romantic? Or just like friends having lunch?"
"The latter. I just think we've been just friends for too long. But I do like spending time with you though. Hope to meet this TJ you speak of. He sounds fun."
"He's something alright. I'm starting to like him. He just seems like he doesnt like people. Trust issues mainly. Very rude most of the time."
"Maybe you just have to cut through his thick shell. Do you know if he has been through any traumatic events?"
"I know he says he had a rough childhood. But it might just be an excuse to be harsh."
"I dont know. I'd just not jump to assumptions. Many people can hide their feelings easily but struggle to show them."
"Yeah true. Well I gotta get home i have work tomorrow. 5 am shift."
"Ugh those suck. Well thanks for lunch. See ya later."
"Yeah no bo problem it was my pleasure. Talk later.'
Show TJ covering the couch with a blue blanket and stands back to observe his fail to fix what he had done.
"Well that's as good as it gets. Maybe he wont notice."
Then he hears keys unlocking the front door. TJ takes a quick seat and turns on the tv.
"I'm home T."
"Hey how did your romantic adventure go? Any second dessert servings?"
"Nope we are better off as friends."
"Ahh that sucks. Want to get drunk let's get drunk." TJ jumps up off the couch and runs for the pantry.
"Nah I have work tomorrow and it doesn't matter to me. Not like I got dumped. How did cleaning the couch go? Why is it covered with a blanket?"
"I think it looks better and is... comfier."
And Danny whips off the cover to find the blue and white spotted couch.
"What the..????"
Show TJ take a shot of Tequila.
"I dont know I think it just changes colors. We have a magical couch!"
"TJ what did you use to clean it?"
"My favorite bottle."
"What's in it?"
"um... bleach..."
"Half water half bleach?"
"No... just bleach."
"TJ how did you not know it would do this?! I thought everybody knew that!"
