Imagine, if you will, for I do not have to imagine, because, I have lived it: being 47 and finding out, you were born with autism and born an introvert, forced into becoming an extrovert/introvert (being one of the rarest forms in all of society) because of being a highly functioning autistic child, in a time they did not know how to test for autism, nor recognize, nor handle an autistic child.
That was five years ago when I was 47 yrs old, when I found out; many things made perfect sense, because all the laws that now govern raising an autistic child did not exist, let alone knowing or being able to understand me, nor me being able to totally understand everyone else.
So, is there anyone out there, with a similar story, which can begin to understand just how I feel so humanely alone in a world of people???
