Lola was what we call thick skinned, not just because of how she looked, but because of the way her life had turned out to be.

But people admired the other side of her being “thick skinned”, people admired her luscious curves, her full breasts and not to mention, her shiny black skin. Although she was on the plus side, she walked with so much grace, it seems like she was as light as a feather but still she walked with bold steps, that showed she knew exactly who she was and what she wanted.

With her confident yet gentle smile, she captured the hearts of many of her business clients which made her deals so smooth and easy.

So, people couldn’t help but awe at Lola, the thick skinned beauty with an air of success wherever she goes.

But, nobody knew the real story behind this beautiful successful lady, nobody knew the other “thick skinned” nature of her.

Nobody knew when Lola was in secondary school, she was called a whore by girls who were jealous of the way her body was shaped. Lola, of course didn’t know that the girls were jealous.
She actually thought that people who had the type of body she had were disgusting sluts by nature, even the boys in her class thought the same. So they cooed her like one would do a common proustite.

But Lola, even though she felt they could be right and maybe that’s how people of her body type behave, she knew who she was within, she didn’t believe in such, no matter how the boys in the class painted it.

So, she refused, but this came with a price as she became the object of ridicule in the whole class by angry class boys and jealous class girls.

Still, no matter what, Lola didn’t succumb.

Even when she was topping her class, she was still ridiculed as being unnecessarily studios and having no social life.

Though Lola felt bad by all this, she didn’t let their words get to her, because she knew the reason she studied so hard, because she needed to retain her scholarship, because she knew that to get a scholarship to a good school was very vital as her parents couldn’t afford to get her into the university.

There was also the time when she was called ugly because of her dark skin by those who wanted to see her hurt so badly, but try as they might, Lola always had her head up high, because she felt beautiful from within.

So, yes people didn’t know that side of Lola, the thick skinned nature that she had to grow on, all because she knew who she was deep within.

You see, this thick skin is just an out ward evidence of a knowing heart.

Once you know from within who you really are, then people will have a hard time making you to believe your something or someone else.
