Chapter 3: The suspension.

"Mom! where are my socks?" Alice foolishly asked her mom. "You are very disorganised because now Jane is gone" Her mum said in an angry tone. She was thinking of sending her daughter to boarding school so she'll at least get a bit of discipline there, because Alice wants to become a disrespectful and lazy disorganised girl unlike her mum.
"Alice your school bus is in"her mother called out. Mum will you be at home today?" Alice asked. No, I'll be going to your Aunt Monica's house to have a conversation with her, so immediately you
close from school come straight to her house and go nowhere" her mother replied and hugged her.
As Alice returned the hug, she was thinking about what her mum was going to talk about with her Aunty. The moment the school bus, Alice's mum quickly called her elder sister to inform her that she would be coming over to have a conversation with her. After about 10 minutes when Mrs Linda was done with the call,she got a call from Alice's headmistress saying that her daughter has been taking a phone to school. Just then Mrs Linda angrier got her car keys and was on her way to the school.
"Alice you are grounded for Life! Mrs Linda shouted with anger the moment she entered the headmistress's office.
"Mom I'm sorry, I was just wondering why you were going to Aunt Monica's house this early morning. So I decided to call Jane and she told me to send my phone to school soo that she will text me all what you and Aunty were talking about" Alice narrated. Mrs Linda please who is Jane" the Headmistress asked with concern.
"Please this is family matters so can we please go and settle this at home?" Alice's mum said with anger and left for home with her daughter.
The moment they got home, Alice's mum quickly called Aunt Monica to come over because she couldn't make it to her house. Then Mrs Monica began to wonder, 'Why is Linda talking with anger like that'.
"Linda come and open me the door, I'm here" Aunty Monica should as she knocked on the door.
"I'm coming" Mrs Linda shouted back. Alice looked closely at the door as her mother opened it,
because if her Aunt came with Jane, she'll surely be scolded.
"Aunty Linda please where's Alice, I haven't seen her around?" Jane politely asked her Aunt. "She's upstairs should I call her for you?" Mrs Linda kindly asked her niece.
"No please, I'm going there myself" Jane said with a beautiful smile. Just when she was about climbing the stairs, she saw Alice coming downstairs as tears run down her cheeks even Aunt Monica saw her not knowing what was going on.
"Alice why are you crying?" Mrs Monica asked her niece with concern. "Alice is crying because she has made a big mistake which caused her to be suspended from school" Mrs Linda replied her sisters question.
"What happened?" Aunty Monica asked. "Ask your daughter's, they will tell you what you are supposed to know" Mrs Linda said with great disappointment.
"What are you trying to say Linda?" Aunty Monica asked again still not understanding what was going. "Alice sent her phone to school today because of 'Kokonsa' " Mrs Linda said in their language meaning gossip.
"Alice! why did you do that? and Jane what did you also do" Mrs Monica asked both girls with a bit of disappointment.
"Mummy, Alice asked for my help and I did. So what wrong did I do?"Jane said disrespectfully to her mom. Just then Mrs Monica slapped her daughter very angrily and said 'Learn how to speak to your elderly with respect young lady ' she said.
"Aunty please I'm sorry, I just wanted to know what was happening, I promise this will never repeat itself again" Alice said still crying and begging her mum and auntie. We forgive you two but you will still be punished" Mrs Linda said.
