Cos nobody wanted to play
The ugly ducking crying cos
They see through him like X ray
But he see them too
Not what they say what they do
In the ducks mind he a fool when he play it cool
Keeping a straight face is his only tool
Yes he in a pond but he cries a pool
He closed off like a book
Nobody gives him looks
Lonely but attention gives him shook
He stair in the reflection
Looking at what he sees

One side white
One side black
The yellow duck color gray
Mixed with feeling blue
Around the green leaves
His bleeding red heart
Turing purple into indigo
Tears flow
His family give him support
But that’s not the same
A stranger love is like a valentine kiss candy rain
He may Quack Quack
But inside he feel pain
How dare he speak

In the middle of traffic but on a lonely road
Heart burning skin freezing cold
A wrinkle in time
As time gets old
The ugly duckling body
