Walking to her friend's door, she felt deflated, she didn't know where else to go, she'd already been to her friend Silver's but she hadn't been in, now she was trying Lara's, she needed a friend right now as she didn't want to head home and have the chance Joseph would knock the door.
Mrs Bradshaw opened the door, looking tired but well dressed as usual clearly being ready for her night shift as she was a solicitor and did crazy hours, she was a single parent and had raised Nick who was twenty-eight, Lara who was twenty-four, like Jessica was and Tyler who was twenty-two. They had grown up with her and her brothers. Like Lara was her good friend, Nick had been her older brother Dean's best friend for years. Tyler had always gotten a longer with her younger brother Shane, but they weren't as close as the other four were.
It wasn't long before Lara joined her at the door, she looked at her knowing something was wrong,
"Are you ok?" She instantly asked her
"No Joseph...I just walked in on him kissing Joanne" she let out, feeling devastated.
"Oh mate, I'm sorry, come in" Lara invited her in.
The house was a beautiful home modernly decorated something she dreamed of having one day, herself. Lara led her through to the kitchen, where Nick was making himself a sandwich, Tyler was on his laptop and their mother was filling up her work bag.
"Hi Jess" they all said as she walked in through the door. She responded politely, Nick was particularly good looking, he had black well styled hair, quite muscular as he did work out a lot, he was wearing a white tight fitted T-shirt with dark blue jeans and was looking as handsome as ever, she noted to herself. Tyler like his brother had black hair too but it was longer and styled in curtain hair style, he was wearing a Superman T-shirt with a grey hoodie with black jeans. Lara also had long curly black hair and was bigger boned than the others but was always dressed in the latest fashion. They were a good looking family. Where as Jess herself had naturally straight brunette hair that was just past her shoulders, he was naturally slim, and was just your average looking kind of girl. Dressed in her black skinny fit jean and a white vest top.
"How've you been?" Nick asked her, noticing she didn't seem her happy self.
"I've felt better" She found herself confessing
"Joseph's been a jerk" Lara commented, as she pulled two beers out the fridge and passed one to Jessica. Who greatfully accepted, Nick took it off her and opened it politely for her handing it back within seconds.
"Why? What has he done?" Tyler asked curiously, he had become good friends with Joseph over the time she had been with him.
"Joanne" Lara answered clearly unimpressed.
"Did you know he was interested in her?" Jessica asked him, knowing if anyone knew it woul have been Tyler, he shook his head, she wasn't sure if he was being honest with her or not, friends stick together and all, she thought to herself. However this family rarely held things back from the others they had very close relationships with each other. Lara kept nothing to herself ever she was very open regardless who she hurt, so Jess knew for a fact she didn't know.

"I'm sorry none of us knew" Lara said as they sat themselves down in the living room,
"It isn't you fault, he clearly didn't want anyone to know."
"Probably knew you would be told, if he told any of us"
"Maybe"
"You can do better than him mate" Lara told her, being a supportive friend,
"She's right, you know, you can" Nick stated as he walked into the room and made himself comfortable on the sofa next to her.
It didn't take them all to long to settle themselves down to watch a film together, even Tyler joined them, they had all been friends for so long, they were just all so comfortable in each other's company, there was no awkwardness at all.

"She fell asleep" Tyler noticed, making the other two look at her, Nick watched her for a moment longer than he had meant too, it was as if he was seeing her for the first time, he loved how peaceful she looked, he couldn't help thinking how beautiful she was. surprising himself, he looked away from her.
"I can't believe you never knew what Joseph was up to" Lara told him
"I didn't know because nothing had been going on, I spoke to him, he said she through herself at him, it surprised him too" Tyler informed her
"Do you believe him?" Lara asked him
"Yeah, she's been flirting with him forever, maybe she just plucked up the courage to see his reaction." Tyler said
"Well I think she's ruined a relationship" Nick commented.
"Shame really, they seemed good together." Lara remarked
"Not as good as you and Josh though." Tyler pointed out, "You two are like two peas in a pod" he added
"You sounded like mum then" Nick teased him, Tyler threw a cushion at him playfully.
