Demon-Straight Hell
I dreamt of a worm. A fat writhing worm, pustulating. It looked at me, looked me right in the eye. Then a crow swooped down and flew off with it in its beak.
I awoke to the sound of thunder. It was loud like the earth had just broke apart. My whole house shook, and then the rain began its assault against my windows.
I was sweating profusely although I was freezing cold. I must've come down with the flu or something. That was my conclusion to my feeling this way. But no, there was much more to how I felt. I just did not know it yet.
Another dream, at least I think so. I'm sitting tied to a chair naked. There is a fire burning and there is chanting. I smell the nauseating putrid smell of piss and shit in the air, only masked slightly by the smell of the smoke from the fire.
An old woman stands before me naked as well. She is haggard and her tits are drooping to her navel. Her teeth are rotten and her pubic hair grows wild between her legs. She is holding a bowl in one hand. She dips her finger into the bowl and pulls it out. There is a red liquid on her fingertip. She points the red fingertip toward my face and as her arm raised up I could see the hair under them. She paints something across my forehead with her fingertip. Suddenly a deep searing pain erupts in my head and I fall backwards. Her laughter echoes in my head. Evil cackling that sounds like hyenas in the night.
Another loud crack of thunder and I'm awake once again, but the pain in my head is still there. I swear I can still hear the evil cackling but it is in the distance. Maybe from the next room. I don't know, but I am dizzy and my head swoons as I fall back into the abyss of sleep.
The old woman stands over me once again. No longer holding a bowl. She stares into my eyes with a cold look of disgust. I fear she can see into my head, reading my thoughts. Perhaps stealing my thoughts and replacing them with thoughts of her own.
This time she begins to transform. A shapeshifter of some sort. her flesh begins to bubble and hair sprouts crazilyfrome every pore in her Grey flesh.
Her ears start to elongate as hair also grows from her lobes. Her eyes become laser red darts and her nose and lower jaw to narrow and stretch toward me. I start to scream.
She arches her back and she contorts. Her neck making snapping sounds as it starts to twist her head in an impossible way.
She falls to her hands and knees, but they were no longer hands, nor were they knees. She was on k-9 legs with gnarly clawed paws. I was no longer looking at a woman, but a mangy coyote with its head upside down. It growled as another crack of thunder erupted and I sat up sweating but cold, blankets kicked to the floor.
The window was wide open. Rain splashed in and there was a puddle in front of my window. The curtains blew hard and reached out like ghostly hands. I don't remember the window being open.
I wonder where these dreams are coming from? Why am I drifting back and forth into and out of consciousness?
A sharp searing pain erupts in my skull. The pain is unbearable and I put my hand to my forehead where I feel something sticky and wet. I pull my hand away and look to see blood and I am suddenly afraid.
What is happening? Did I sleepwalking and bump my head? I get up to grab my blanket from the floor but something pushes me violently back onto the bed. It holds me there pressing and it feels like a thousand ton weight on my chest. I can't breathe. When I try to call out nothing escapes my lungs but a tiny whimper. Then the bed begins to jump.....
I am asleep again. This time I am no longer in a chair. I am in darkness. Screaming fills the air and echos all around me. The sound of a million loons in the night. I can make out some of the words and they are cries of helplessness and agony. The cries of deep despair, regret, loss and guilt. The cries of loneliness and sorrow. Nothing of joy can be heard. There was nothing joyful here and I not only could hear it in there cries, but you could feel it all around you. Then suddenly I realized that they weren't only the cries of strangers. I recognized others I had known. former loved ones and the present. But one voice I recognized above all the voices. It was my own!
"Please help me, please God, save me from this awful darkness. Take me away from this nothingness and lead me back to light!"
