Mind on Paper
Mind On Paper

When the name of words began to escape,

Before their sounds arrived at the shore of my tongue,

I began to subtract the lines from each letter in every word,

Till all I'm left with were thin lines dressed in black,

Desperate to educate the world about my feelings,

I searched for a new instrument,

I took up a little yellow pencil.

Then I made a slight mark on a big paper,

I drew some clouds as white and made some to be darken with little rain,

I drew some trees in pint-size outfit and made some to be high and mighty,

I continued to look within and then draw whatever I could see in my mind,

As time continued to whisk away thoughtlessly,

I saw the drawing paper increasing spontaneously,

Feeling quite enthralled,

I picked up a measuring tape to find out its length and width,

I stood astonished at the results gotten!

Puzzled at how this drawing paper could have a vastness,

Even bigger than the continents put together as one,

And shockingly the figure to be drawn,

Was still down zero percent to completion,

For Not even half of the outskirts of my mind,

Had been completely drawn on the worlds largest paper.
