The water remains calm with blood allover, only Bethany remains standing out hanging lose in water but no sign of Dan or the alligator. Bethany turns round and round besides the boat in water, screaming aloud the name of Dan with tears shading, hoping that she might see him anywhere. "Bethany please swim back, it might return anytime," screams Simon pleading with Bethany. "No. I'm not leaving without Dan. It's either I see him or I die," Bethany replies hopelessly.
Dan quickly jumps into the water to force Bethany back into the boat. He gets ahold of her and tries to swim her back but she stubbornly refuses, kicking and screaming. Dan tries every way to get her swimming but totally the stubborn girl refuses. "Ok, if this is how you want to die it's fine but the truth is I'm not leaving you here. I'll always be your brother and wherever you die, I die," says Simon holding the hands of his sister Bethany. "Please Simon go back. This is my destiny. I have reached the end of my world. You still have a lot to discover, besides you are still single. You still have someone to meet, and I have already lost the one I met. What will life be without him?" Bethany convinces Simon withdrawing her hands.
Deeply in their conversation, Simon and Bethany hear voices from within the boat screaming, "Simon, Bethany look out," these were the voices of Catherine and David. The two turn, for they know it's a warning that something is behind them. On turning, shadow covers, water splashes and boom, back lands the alligator on the other side.
