The Agony of an Infinite Ceiling
While perching on the fecund earth and basking in solitude , I stared at the infinite azure sky and wondered how does the sky feel while gazing from above? Does the sky feel lonely or does it feel proud because it always stays at the top or does it mourn in silence because it's struggle and sacrifice was always underestimated by everyone?
Often when we hit the rock bottom , we yearn the most for mountain top and strive harder than before to reach the top and stay there for eternity . We climb that ladder which will make us reach the peak step by step and then one day , we achieve that peak . Now , we try to build our forever on that peak and we succeed in it . But after a while , we feel discontented . We reached the top , hoisted the flag of our success and created our eternity but still an unknown thirst keeps consuming us from inside . Even though the view from top is visually appealing , it can't hold on to the fleeting moments of happiness .
When I observed the sky carefully , a big cloud of numerous thoughts started hovering over my mind in the same manner like the clouds hover in the sky . Everyone thanks the earth for it's sacrifices because it bears the burden of thousands of creatures stepping over it with their contaminated minds but no one recognizes the struggles of sky who stays atop and bears the weight of sun , moon and stars who illuminate the earth with their light . The sun , moon and stars live in the sky but love the earth more . The clouds in the sky keep running behind the stubborn breeze . And yet the sky never complains but keeps this agony inside it and loves unconditionally . The sky never looks down on earth because it is at the top but it ensures that the earth also becomes more beautiful by giving birth to huge trees and those trees then become messengers who thank the sky on earth's behalf. The birds which nestle on those trees fly in that infinite sky but ultimately come back to the trees . And again , the sky is left alone just because it is at the top and not everyone can reach it and even if they do , they won't stay forever . While looking at sky , I realised that even though you reach the top and stay there , you will still not be happy because you need atleast one friend or companion to share your joys , sorrows , fears , inhibitions and struggles . A friend or companion for whom you will matter the most and who will stay by your side no matter what . Often while keeping up with others , we forget to attend our own needs . While helping everyone and befriending them , we forget that even we need help . And then , when we finally achieve all the external goals , we help others to achieve them . But in between all the chaos , one silent moment hits you hard at the core of your heart and questions you , " Are you happy or you are just avoiding that pain? What do you really need? And are you going to still avoid your needs?" After this moment , you come back to your senses and say , "I need something or someone which satisfies my soul . Something or someone which will bring me back to myself . Something or someone which won't fade away in thin air ."
There comes a point in life , when instead of confronting others we need to confront ourselves and be brave enough to respect our own needs because if we don't then like the sky even though we become infinite in others eyes , we will still remain empty from inside . So be like the sky , treat and greet everyone with love , honour everyone's needs but start with yourself because an empty sky can be filled with sun , moon and stars but it is more difficult to fill an empty heart with the never ending flow of love , peace and happiness . So keep coloring that little space inside your heart which is no less than the infinite sky with the seven colors of love , joy , peace , hope , dreams , success and abundance and create the rainbow in the sky of your heart .
